Church Doors at Skrinkle Haven in pembs, UK. Been waiting for a grey day to shoot some long exposures using my Pluto Trigger device, which worked briliantly, once it had connected to my phone....

The door to death. No, not a typo. But this is an entrance door of a cemetery chapel. The blue door is inside a cube. The recessed entrance area is made of white-painted concrete and a few steps lead to the blue door. The door to ...

Il portoncino delle sorptese a Procida visto da dentro

Seen in the village of Flassan, Provence a while ago.

I despair of ever getting a sunny day in the near future. It was a very dismal day when I took this picture.

What’s behind the green door? That is the question.

I think it might be an old gas station and these are his and hers bathrooms. If it was a gas station, it had been repurposed a long time ago and was some kind of store. It is currently empty and abandoned. HWW

Gammelstad, church, Sweden

Gammelstad Church Town (Swedish: Gammelstads kyrkstad) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated in Gammelstaden near the city of Luleå, Sweden, at the northern end of the Gulf of Bothnia. A sequel to "the Red Door".

This Bennington-style porcelain door knob was shot at a building in Brattleboro, Vermont.

The Bennington pottery first produced richly swirled clay knobs in the mid 1800s. Paired with small rosettes or back plates, they make a stately, yet understated period style door set. The durable glazed knobs were firmly fastened to a solid iron shank in antique iron finish.

"An open door says, “Come in.”

A shut door says, “Who are you?”

Shadows and ghosts go through shut doors.

If a door is shut and you want it shut,

why open it?

If a door is open and you want it open,

why shut it?

Doors forget but only doors know what it is

doors forget."

An old friend's suggested we had to have dinner in Café des Fédérations, which is one of the best bouchons in Lyon. A bouchon is the Lyonnaise version of the classic French bistro.

And we had indeed a wonderful meal and a great time. So whenever you are in Lyon, give it a try.

It was also a big surprise to visit the toilet ;-o

This is "door 1". When you open this door, you see this.

La bellezza non è che il disvelamento di una tenebra caduta e della luce che ne è venuta fuori.

This ended up being a cross over between Gone to Ground and Dark City Deutschland, this is actually at the foot of this building here...

With the red on the walls and the sinister light at the bottom of this industrial door, it gave me the impression of dark goings on behind it! So look at this and delves deep into your imagination, that way this image comes to life in the mind.

I hope everyone's week is off to a great start and so as always, thank you! :)

PS: Look at the image whilst listening to this...
