Finally finished my DoomGuy (from The Dark Ages) Miniature! i sharpened the image a bit, and added the sparks, but otherwise, thats how he came out.
So been seeing a lot of master chief and doom slayer/doomguy whatever and I wanted to make my own. So building doomslayer was preyyy ez barely an inconvenience but I wanted to make smth else. So I went on to a Flickr guy ik who made some DOOM figs that were awesome and so I just stole a couple of the figs he made and tried to make them with the parts I had.
L-R: hell priest, marauder, doomslayer( using the head I used on ringer), nearly defeated marauder, zombie soldier( had this good Chima head that would’ve been perfect but sadly I couldn’t find it)
Anyways that’s all for this post it was honestly good to branch out and I might start doing more video game stuff tbh.
Retook some images of Doomguy, wasn't quite happy with how they turned out the first time. Also I realized I forgot to post pictures of him with weapons, so here he is with the universal communication device.
"You have taken the lead."
Built for the 2018 Secret Santa, a re-imagining of Green Axles' old self-MOC in the vein of a Quake character (read: Doomguy with a rocket launcher).
So Today my friend came over and he was just talking about doom for so long I was inspired to make the OG doomguy from the 90s. This version of doomguy has a grey visor with helmet and is less decked out than the modern one. The older design also has short sleeves and uses a really grass green color. Anyways I tried making my own version of this boi using reg green parts and decking him out with whatever I had without going to crazy so ye
#LEGOGAMEDUOS Contest Announcement!
Welcome to my 8K contest announcement! I've had this idea in mind for a bit, but after passing 8K and the release of the Skywalker Saga game, I figured it was the perfect time to do a video game related contest. Check my Instagram post for full rules!
I've also included some sample duos to show the general possibilities of the contest: Banjo and Gruntilda (a hero/villain duo), BotW Link and Zelda (a heroes duo), and Doomguy and Isabelle (the completely unrelated duo).
Let me know in the comments if you all have any questions. Deadline will be Sunday, May 29. I hope to see some entries soon (preferably on insta)!
Day 4
Right before Doom friday it's time to unleash one of the bigger demons before Doomguy arrives.
Made for the DOOM collab with Cezium.
Not much to say about this one, just wanted all my DOOM figs in one shot, and this one turned out pretty neat-o.
I was thinking of posting the 80's Squad with the new Boomerang fig but eh, none of the other figs have changed so it didn't seem worth it.
Cheers everyone!
If you're headed to PAX Melbourne tomorrow, I will be one of the guests, and making an appearance at the Bethesda booth 12-2pm.
It's no secret I'm a big videogame geek, and Doom is a big fave in this house. So the chance to get early access to 'Rip and tear until it is done'? Yeah. I'm excited.
And there's some other stuff too, including a themed restaurants, cool art, some special giveaways, all the cosplayers, and of course the photo ops.
Anyway, head down to the Bethesda booth, check it out, and hope to see y'all there.
It's going to be AWESOME!
And there he is, the big man himself. This marks day 5 and the end of my collab with Sparks. Go check out his Flickr for his part of the Doom collab.
"Oh but Cezium, where are his weapons?"
Worry not, I will be uploading more pictures with various in-game items (that includes weapons fyi) soon, so keep an eye out for that.
DAY 5
Of course we end the week with Doomguy and his shotgun. Based of several sources with the head being a mix of Doom 1 and Doom 4 and the rest of the body being based of a Garry's Mod model of Doomguy (yep it's complicated). Yes I changed the shoulders from his original WIP state. They didn't match as much anymore because all the rest was pretty smooth. So I sacrificed his round shoulders for ones where the textures don't look out of place.
Made for the DOOM collab with Cezium.

Bringer of pain!!

The scene is based off this shot, the Doombringer model is based off my StarCraft marine.

In the spare time I have, I've been slowly playing through the original Quake. Playing as a beefy dude, shooting your way through castles, fighting a bunch of Lovecraftian monsters, what could be cooler?
Well, Half-life in my opinion, but that's just me.
Anyways, Here's some figs from 90's video games.
Doomguy: When I made this dude I was using this as a reference: carboncostume.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/do... So I thought his skin was an orange jumpsuit. Ha! Ah well. Also his helmet's not perfect but whateves. (Actually if you've got better helmet suggestions lemme know)
Quake Ranger: Orc helmet/armor, Mandarin head, Catman torso, Garmmaddon hips, some Gladiator's legs.
Lara Croft: First Tomb Raider is best Tomb Raider, horrifying graphics and all. CMF Dino hunter hair, PoP head, Aunt May torso reversed, Alice arms, Indiana Jones legs.
Gordon Freeman: Still lovin this fig, even if he is a little bulky.
Let me know what you think!
The biggest, baddest video game boss of all time. Half unfeeling machine, half raging horned devil.
For the Like a Boss Contest.
RIP AND TEAR UNTIL IT'S DONE.
I've had DOOM on the brain a lot lately. Mostly cause I've been playing the 2016 one kind of nonstop (well, I do take breaks to finally play through the Dishonored games).
Thus, I wanted to make some figs from it and update my Doom Marine. Turns out though that Doom figs are goddamn hard to make. I wanted to make a Cyberdemon, maybe some Barons of Hell and so forth but I just couldn't puzzle my way through fig versions, so I just stuck with the simple ones.
Revenant: Pretty self-explanatory. Was looking for a trumpet so he could specifically be the DOOT Revenant.
Doomguy: A serious upgrade from my last one. Gave him Superboy arms, a Power Miners helmet and one of those re-breather things over a plain black head.
And some Imps, which are basically just hodgepodge Orcs/Goblins with Lone Ranger and Pirates legs.
Anyways, pretty simple but I'm mostly satisfied with em. Let me know what you think!
In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood. Burned by the embers of Armageddon, his soul blistered by the fires of Hell and tainted beyond ascension, he chose the path of perpetual torment. In his ravenous hatred he found no peace; and with boiling blood he scoured the Umbral Plains seeking vengeance against the dark lords who had wronged him. He wore the crown of the Night Sentinels, and those that tasted the bite of his sword named him… the Doom Slayer.

Purist DOOM figs? Yeah right, bring on the pain(t)!
A revisiting of my meager DOOM figs from a month or so ago, I just really like DOOM, and wanted to make most of the enemies from the very first game in lego form (And a Revenant from DOOM 2 cause he was already built). I didn't end up making the possessed Soldiers cause *yawn* or the Spider-mastermind cause I didn't want to build that. The Cacodemon was bloody hard enough.
Cyberdemon: A literally massive upgrade from my previous attempt. With the release of the LBM Bane, I had no need for my brick-bane any longer. This guy is ugly but I think is recognizable enough.
Revenant: DOOT
Imp: A serious upgrade from my previous ones. Basically my old Clayface fig with Fauns' legs.
DoomGuy: gave my Doomguy fig Robin's arms. I think that helped a lot. I don't think there's any other way to improve this guy at this point.
Pinky Demon: Painted up an Atlantis Crab head to get that hunched-over look, then painted a mouth on a pink body.
Baron of Hell: Kinda shrimpy but whatever. Painted Minotaur head, and painted Crazy bricks legs that I got at Brick Con.
Cacodemon: God this was an arse-pain to make and I don't even think he turned out all that well. A mish-mash of parts from the Hulk-Buster suit, Rey's Speeder and other random bits and bobs. A brick-builder I am not.
Overall though, I love the way all these guys look together. I may make enemies from DOOM 2 in the future. Until then, lemme know what you think.
I haven't made a Doom character since Doomguy, I honestly wasn't planning on making other characters for a while either, but then Doom Eternal came out, and this guy was new from that game, or at least became more popular from it. Man making this guy nearly killed me, It's a good thing I just decided to make him a minifigure, because trying to figure out a droid body for him would have been way too long, and probably fragle amd frustrating. Surprisingly the easiest thing was his sword, even though some of the colors aren't correct (because I didn't have them), I still think it looks really good, and along with the rest of figure, amazing.
So this was a guy I DEFINITELY tried to make, I'm definitely proud of how. the helmet looks, I think I could have used an armor piece for him though (if any of you know one that fits please let me know, the same for a gun for him as well). Overall though I really love the detail and stuff on him.
Check out our 2nd Mars Marine Kit release!
Note we split the parts into two kits, 1 is the essential kit that makes a custom awesome figure, the other set is a smaller upgrade set that gives you an upgraded weapon, groin, and hands. The price of the 3D prints are based on surface area and volume and these parts were making the kits way too expensive. We split them so you wouldn't have to spend so much but could still get a fully upgraded figure if you wanted.
We were inspired by some of the great lego custom hand sculptors and started doing some of our customs we really wanted in CAD. We are offering these protos up if people want them VIA a 3D printing service, the nice thing is they will always be available! Note that the material is high resolution but more fragile than ABS or resin parts!
The parts shown are straight primered from the printer, this is what the parts will look like with no sanding, they will look better with light finishing work.
Kit is meant for experienced customizers and not for play by children!
Helmet is removable!
