work doodle 2
had a pretty annoying morning at work, disciplinary for making a 40 year old woman feel 'upset and victimised' because I said when she dances she has dirty riddim. I work with all women it's really dramatic.
turns out she's just got a guilty conscience over banging an underage guy over the weekend haha....
....bitch
Doodles done while waiting on a very late professor a couple of weeks ago. see notes for more info.
I did the final for this class today. It wasn't too bad. I believe I got A on the final and overall. Wish I would have had a better teacher. The man who taught the class was a bit crazy /whiny /condescending (not the "hey i'm a crazy, joke with you" professor gig either, more like the "I wish I was anywhere but here" kind of attitude he had). I was happy to sign up for the class as an elective at the beginning of the semester, kind of a bummer the way it turned out.
Doodles from my imagination, before work. Work before work, in my art journal, today.

Little doodle born in a moment of sadness..
Doodles backstory: We had ducks (white) when I was a little girl and for some reason I called them "doodles," which is what I always think of when I hear ducks quacking in the wild now. We used to pile them into the back of my mother's station wagon (with the wood paneling on the side) and take them to my grandparents' cotttage on a lake in CT not far outside of NYC (along with the dog, the cat, and sometimes my sister's birds and/or my hamsters and maybe our rabbits too). We'd keep the ducks under the house at night safely screened in and during the day we'd tie string to one of their feet and they'd swim in the lake with us. Not sure we'd be handling them quite the same way today but was a lot of fun as a child. Oh yes, we always stopped on the way to the lake for ice cream at a place in Brewster CT (oops - NY not Ct - thanks Jim). The dog got her own and my sister shared with the cat; the ducks were non-dairy.
Biro doodle.
From an early age I was always sketching and doodling cars and futuristic scenes. I carried on this 'habit' during all my early jobs. These are some doodles I did while working as a call centre agent in the mid 1990's. Something to keep my mind going.
The doodles are mostly in Biro so some of the pages have turned yellow with age.
A bunch of doodles colored pretty brightly :)
had fun drawing the mermaid & bathing suit beauties-well, all of it really :)
a confused boxer, a chibi of myself feeling alittle sick ( i had a stomach ache that day) a dog & cat dreaming of their fav foods, flowers galore and random people doodles.
I made my tiny doodle embroidery into a badge and created a second one with a camo heart that has an ecru stitched background. Ironned on some fusible interfacing in the back to lock all stitches and make it neat.
The red heart is 2 inches wide and the camo one is 1.5 inches. I love the 3D look of the french knots. This would work great for a big athletic monogram.
This would work better with lower count Aida cloth as the border is too crooked for my taste.
