How did I end up with this frozen heart?
The News Said Lockdown so I decided to hoard locks to make sure I had enough. All laughs aside folks stay safe, don't panic, no need to buy out the stores, share with your friends and neighbors and be kind to others, make the World a better place and keep taking pictures!

Rather than the dog walk this morning I ventured out for a bit of photography and it did me the world of good. The nasty virus was relegated to being an irritating niggle for a couple of hours. I had a bit of a plan after looking up the tides and the sun direction. So I was prepared and nearly got my photo. These wheels have stayed put for years no matter what the North Sea throws at them, so are we going to let a bug to knock us of our axis, no! We have some brilliant people working on this so trust in the best of humanity. In the words of Corporal Jones “Don’t panic Captain Manning”.
He might not say much, but he’s definitely seen things. The futuristic dome of the BMW Museum in Munich resembles nothing less than Marvin the Paranoid Android — gazing out at the world in quiet resignation.
A nod to sci-fi, design and a touch of intergalactic melancholy.
Don’t panic. He’s just a building. Probably.

Don’t panic. Another Flickr year passes, my twelfth. I’ve been here so long that it says I added my oldest friends “ages ago”. I took far fewer photos this year with my DSLR than any other time, instead depending on my iPhone most of the time. The iPhone camera has gotten so good, especially with its faux depth of field, it’s hard to justify carrying extra weight. If I have the inclination, I still pack a bunch of film cameras on a photo trip.

This deer was mingling with two others in McDowell Grove Forest Preserve. I walked in the snow towards them, keeping trees between them and myself as I approached. This doe sat down and I came around the tree I was hiding behind. She didn't move. Was she thinking I didn't see her, but might notice should she move? Did she know I was just some camera nerd? Maybe she wanted to be friends? I don't know. I didn't ask and she didn't tell. Next time I won't be so shy. She actually stayed put as I took a few casual steps to get nearer.
