the wonderful national park known simply as YOSEMITE. After 2 weeks of non stop action, I was leaving the park when this happened. I am blown away at raw power of this great park.

I went for broke...it paid off on this night..moon broke through! What a sight!

Looking beyond the fore ground of my life..I know a great journey awaits me. Bring it on!

As the days flow like a raging river. I am still longing to be near you. Yosemite please don't forget my love for you... I will be back

During the eclipse I took this photo. In Yosemite! what a place.

the view ahead is worth taking the steps. I guess you just have to want to see it. DO IT!

I don't care--- what you do...I would want to be like you- Alan Parsons Project

Unlike the lyrics -

I am so glad that Mirror Lake is just like it's surroundings. Beautiful!!!!!!!

I will be heading back next week to shoot the park! so looking forward to it!

If you have a bucket list or a strong desire to see beauty beyond words...travel here, leave not a trace, take only memories from it's boundaries they will last a lifetime.... YOSEMITE National Park!

Valley View - Yosemite:

I can't put the right words together to say what this park did to me...., or even come close to explaining it's beauty. GO SEE IT!

The light is so very tricky here.

Going back through the 8,000 photos I took. Man I miss it. Yosemite how do you have such a hold on my dreams??????

RAW power of the landscape is beyond beauty. Someone asked "Can you imagine what it was like when it was still entirely wild?"...What a great question to ponder.

Just outside Tucson,AZ

This monsoon storm was kicking and screaming...

When you hike in or around Yosemite...it pays to keep your eyes open. I ran to catch this one! enjoy

One of the best sunsets from Yosemite. This photo is taken facing east as the sun sets in the west...

Mirror Lake oh yeah!

Mirror Lake is a small, seasonal lake located on Tenaya Creek in Yosemite National Park. Situated in Tenaya Canyon directly between North Dome and Half Dome, it is the last remnant of a large glacial lake that once filled most of Yosemite Valley at the end of the last Ice Age, and is close to disappearing due to sediment accumulation.

See it before it is gone!

I must take the time out to thank one person who made my time in Yosemite even more special "Nancy Robbins". I feel I made a real friend in her. Nancy is a professional photographer in every aspect. I learned so much from her, I someday hope to have half the talent she has.

Nancy thank you so much for everything! I see things much differently now and am going to chase my dreams! www.robbinsphotography.com/

Photo is of Lower Yosemite Fall, Half Dome in red and The Moon

so I thought I counted down as to what I set the shutter for...I guess I was wrong. Photo still turned out cool!

If i was to tell you, I camped for 2 weeks in Yosemite, had the pleasure of meeting many friendly people from all corners of the globe and the kindness these strangers extended to me ranged from food, batteries, a place to sit and their TIME...would you believe that it restored my faith in the people of the world?

I could tell you about the women (from Africa) who walked up as I sat at Glacier point, she started crying...Why?? the beauty of the park overcame her.

These two week, will stand out for me as the best two weeks of my life.

*photo: taken near Glacier Point on a very special night.

The colors came from the setting sun which was behind me... not a fire. It was AMAZING!

Seems like most of my teenage years had been spent along this stretch of concrete. North ave to Oak st beach, No visit back to my hometown is complete (no matter the weather) without a glimpse of this magical slab.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments...I am truly humbled!

I doubt I will ever experience a beauty greater.... You are now forever burned into my soul and dreams. I read a quote from Ansel Adams: "A good photograph is knowing where to stand".

My response to that:

Any place in Yosemite is a good place to stand.

This photo represents a dream I had of catching fog in the valley...

It one of 10,000 photos I have taken inside the park over the course of 2 trips (totaling 17 days inside the Yosemite). I have said that this place stole my heart and took my breath away...I will never be the same. Things I used to hope I could do...no longer seem to matter, I just want to go back to Yosemite. I wish I was joking, but really Yosemite has me on the ropes!!!! This photo I feel is one of the best moments of my life, I hope you enjoy it!

This was one of the first storms I caught in 2013. It does not even look real...and I guess that is why I was so blown away! To watch a storm like is SURREAL!

As our nation's continue to tear at each other and from within...We need to see the beauty in each other. Learning to respect all colors, creeds and religions. Time to stop inflicting pain, I refuse to place the blame of a child for something that child's, great grandfather did. No need to throw stones or stand on a flag.

Challenge yourself to do right, this world needs it.

I told the stars about you

'Cause they show me the way just like you do

I hope your dreams all come true

'Cause you deserve the world and not what you've been put through

If the destination is slippery, snowy, hot & dry, bumpy or there's a roadblock, you jump over it, walk around it, crawl under it; you just do it! :-)

TGIF - Have a great weekend everyone!

I will soon be leaving everything I've ever known for almost 30 years. I'm very grateful for everything I have, the family close by, the friendships I've made, the career I've built, but something tells me to move on.

I'll be moving to Arizona soon and I'm very excited for a new opportunity, but it also terrifies me. I'm not a big risk taker, but it just feels right. It's something I must see through and I don't want a life full of regrets. Now is the time...

Here's a better look at this lovely cicada.
