The locomotive was withdrawn in June 1983 and scrapped at Crewe in September 1984.

"Mir ist schon klar, dass das ein Low-Budget-Projekt ist und ich erwarte auch keine sonderlichen Gagen.", sagt er. "Ich finde aber, ein Film über Flüchtlinge ist eine gute Sache. Und außerdem bin ich es leid, immer in so eine Schublade von Historien-Schinken gesteckt zu werden. Ich will auch mal andere Rollen spielen."

We feel very honored. The others are still sleeping in the display case, but they will be amazed in the morning!
"It's clear to me that this is a low-budget project and I don't expect any special fees," he says. "But I think a film about refugees is a good thing. And besides, I'm tired of always being put in the drawer of thick old historical books. I also want to play other roles."

I was at the mall in Santa Monica when I met Donny. I was loading a new roll of film in my Hasselblad and Donny approached me because he was curious about what I was doing. I showed him the old camera and film and I told him about my 100 strangers project. He asked me if I would take his photo and I agreed. Donny wants to be a music producer but he is having a tough time getting started in such a competitive business.
