This coin was donated to me during my childhood, by a Belgian friend of my parents, I was fascinated by the hole.

🇬🇧 The Donator, or Prosper Schiaffino, is a freighter sunk by a mine in 1945 and located between the islands of Port-Cros and Porquerolles. It is one of the most beautiful wrecks in the Mediterranean.
Donator was built in 1931 in Norway. It measured 78 m of length for 12 m of wide, for a speed de14 in 15 knots for a power of 1800 cv. Its resold in 1933 to the General Maritime Company of Armaments which renames it Small Earth and allocates it to the transport of bananas between the Metropolis and the Antilles. In 1939 it becomes the property of an Algerian Company of Navigation, the Company Schiaffino. This one was in the habit of baptizing the ships with the first names of members of the family, and Donator becomes then the Prosper Schiaffino. This company, which had twenty buildings in 1939, lost 19 during the Second World War: 13 by torpedoes, mines, and 6 by bombing while they were at anchor.
He was converted into a pinardier. Used for the transport of troops and equipment during the war, it found the transport of wine at the liberation. On November 10, 1945, the Prosper Schiaffino sailed for Spain with 29 sailors on board, to protect itself from the mistral, it skirted the coast. In sight of Porquerolles, it passes to the south of the island, too close, and encounters a field of residual mines. An explosion occurs forward at 1:15 p.m. The bow almost detaches from the ship. In 4 minutes, it sinks from the front, the rear almost vertically. Two victims will be counted. He rests on a sandy bottom at 48 meters, the bridge goes up to 44 meters.

Le Donator a été construit en 1931 en Norvège. Il mesurait 78 m de long pour 12 m de large, pour une vitesse de14 à 15 nœuds pour une puissance de 1800 cv. Il est revendu en 1933 à la Compagnie Générale d’Armements Maritime qui le rebaptise Petite Terre et l’affecte au transport de bananes entre la Métropole et les Antilles. En 1939 il devient la propriété d'une Compagnie Algérienne de Navigation, la Compagnie Schiaffino. Celle-ci avait coutume de baptiser ses navires avec les prénoms des membres de la famille, et le Donator devient alors le Prosper Schiaffino.
Cette compagnie qui possédait vingt bâtiments en 1939 en perdit 19 pendant la seconde guerre mondiale : 13 par torpillages, mines, et 6 par bombardements alors qu’ils étaient au mouillage.
Il fut reconverti en pinardier. Utilisé pour le transport de troupes et de matériel durant la guerre, il retrouva le transport de vin à la libération. Le 10 novembre 1945, le Prosper Schiaffino fait route sur l’Espagne avec 29 matelots à son bord, pour se protéger du mistral, il longe les côtes. En vue de Porquerolles, il passe au sud de l’île, trop près, et rencontre un champ de mines résiduelles. Une explosion se produit à l’avant à 13 heures 15. La proue se détache presque du navire. En 4 minutes, il sombre par l’avant, l’arrière presque à la verticale. Deux victimes seront dénombrées. Il repose sur un fond de sable à 48 mètres, le pont remonte jusqu’à 44 mètres.

While it's entertaining to watch, it is an abuse of wild animals right to live in the wild unhindered.
These Macaque monkeys are likely poached from the wild as babies.
Their training regime is cruel using starvation, hanging, beating and chaining methods. They are forced to wear masks, dressed as dolls and made to stand on 2 legs for hours.
They are trained to do dance steps, ride bicycles and perform tricks for shoppers and tourists on the streets or at homes. When they aren’t dancing, they are often kept in tiny single cages for prolonged periods of time.
This cruel practice not only raises concerns about animal welfare, but it also poses a high risk of diseases that can spread from animals to humans such as tuberculosis and salmonella.
The macaques (/məˈkɑːk, -ˈkæk/) constitute a genus (Macaca) of gregarious Old World monkeys of the subfamily Cercopithecinae. The 23 species of macaques inhabit ranges throughout Asia, North Africa, and (in Gibraltar) Europe. Macaques are principally frugivorous (preferring fruit), although their diet also includes seeds, leaves, flowers, and tree bark. Some species such as the long-tailed macaque (M. fascicularis; also called the crab-eating macaque) will supplement their diets with small amounts of meat from shellfish, insects, and small mammals. On average, a southern pig-tailed macaque (M. nemestrina) in Malaysia eats about 70 large rats each year. All macaque social groups are arranged around dominant matriarchs.
Macaques are found in a variety of habitats throughout the Asian continent and are highly adaptable. Certain species are synanthropic, having learned to live alongside humans, but they have become problematic in urban areas in Southeast Asia and are not suitable to live with, as they can carry transmittable diseases.
Most macaque species are listed as vulnerable to critically endangered on the International Union of the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List.
Several species of macaque are used extensively in animal testing, particularly in the neuroscience of visual perception and the visual system.
Nearly all (73–100%) captive rhesus macaques are carriers of the herpes B virus. This virus is harmless to macaques, but infections of humans, while rare, are potentially fatal, a risk that makes macaques unsuitable as pets.

CSX graciously donated U25B 3416 to the B&O Museum in Baltimore upon retirement. Built as Louisville and Nashville 1616, the veteran GE did not fit the museum's "B&O" format and they douchebaggedly sold it for profit despite the donation and it languished in decay in Pennsylvania being parted out and slowly being scrapped.
In the late 2000s what was left of it finally made its way to the Southern Appalachia Railway Museum where it awaits funding to be properly restored as L&N 1616. At this time, it is there preserved for the future in a museum that actually appreciates history. The B&O Museum had been donated a Chesapeake and Ohio SD18 by CSX that they decided to sell off, in addition to donated PRR GG1 4890 and a South Shore 800 that they also sold off for profit.
Meanwhile, most of their one of a kinds sit in decay despite the influx of cash from selling off donated museum exhibits for profit. The mismanagement of the B&O Museum and misplaced priorities makes it a very sore subject for this former Baltimoron. The collection deserves better.

PORKERI.
Porkeri is a village in the Faroe Islands, situated north of Vágur on Suðuroy's east coast. As of 2004 it had a population of 332. It is located at61°28′59″N 6°44′36″W / 61.48306°N 6.74333°W / 61.48306; -6.74333.
Porkeri has been inhabited at least as early as the 14th century.
The wooden church is from 1847 and contains things donated by seamen who survived lethal storms on the sea, maintaining the tradition of almissu (seamen in danger promised - according to Nordic tradition - to donate churches, the material or such to God if they got back home alive).
In 1984 a new school was built in the village. It is built in a modern Faroese style and has grass on the roof. The old school in Porkeri was built in 1888. It was used as such for 96 years. It is now owned by "Porkeris Bygdasavn" which is a museum. The village also has a church, Porkeri Church with a graveyard.
Tradition says that once in the old days a dispute of field boundaries between Porkeri and the neighbouring village Hov was sorted out by a walking-race between one man from each village.
