Believe it or not this beautiful house being built here on the Rideau River, that we're viewing between the trees, is worth over a million dollars. Lucky family moving in, with this amazing view.
Managed a walk in between rain showers and stumbled across this glen and mini waterfall. No tripod with me so a little tricky to capture handheld but quite like this scene!

Fuchsia ‘Dollar Princess’ bears small, double flowers with short, purple tubes and red sepals, in contrast with dark-green leaves. Often grown in pots on the patio in partial shade, and advised to keep plants overwintered indoors.
However, this plant grows in one of our garden borders and happily comes into flower each year.

The footpath through Dollar Glen includes some sections that are only passable by means of footbridge.
The light fading quickly last night after a beautiful sunset on one of Wexford's hidden gems Dollar Bay. A small beach you pass on route to the Hook it acquired its name from pirated Spanish dollars that were stashed here in the 17th century.

This is located on Last Dollar Road near the Dallas Divide. Mt Sneffels is in the background. Ralph Lauren's 166,000 acre Double RL Ranch is just to the east of this.
Sand Dollar Beach is the largest unbroken stretch of sand along the Big Sur coast. It is protected by the high bluffs behind it. The beach is about 150 ft below the top of the bluffs and is reached by a good trail and impressive staircase. A photo merge of four handheld images.

Beautiful Dollar Glen is a wee glen nestled in the Ochill Hills above the township of Dollar. Although it's tiny, and steep, it's a beautiful wee place that's well worth the visit.
The back of the 1776-1976 Eisenhower Dollar (Type II) coin issued in 1976. The Liberty Bell represents the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and the Moon represents the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing.

This happens to be reverse side of a "Thomas Jefferson" presidential dollar coin. I am not a collector (by collector standards), but pocket dollar coins when I happen upon them. I am on the lookout for a "Sacagawea".
In a similar vein to my previous post, in retrospect I regret not giving this girl any currency for her effort in rowing out to our boat on Tonle Sap lake, Cambodia, in a ... tub?
We were warned by our tour guide not to give money and even though we heeded that advice, sure enough we were soon approached by other craft bearing small children and snakes. It is nevertheless difficult to resist the pleas of a young child for "dollar, dollar".
If I had this time again, I would prefer to ignore the guide's advice and pay the dollar(s), rather than feel guilty for the rest of my life that I didn't.

2018 was peak year for the aspens turning golden. Usually are good, but a peak year happens maybe 1 or 2 times in 10 year period.
