The design was done in a maximalist style by the Dutch interior designer Marcel Wanders.
Smack dab in the middle of the grand foyer of Doha's Hamad International Airport is this huge sculpture, "Untitled (Lamp/Bear)," by Swiss artist Urs Fischer. It stands 23 feet tall and is made of cast bronze, weighing about 20 tons. The piece previously resided in front of the Seagram Building on New York's Park Avenue until some rich oil sheikh decided it would look better in Qatar and paid $6.8 million for it in 2013.
