Service people were allowed to put the miraculous medal on their tags. It was the only other item allowed on the chain. These were my husbands dog tags.

Located in the courtyard of the Old North Church, the Dog Tag Memorial commemorates the soldiers lost in the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars. Hundreds of nameless dog tags representing the fallen soldiers from these conflicts hang closely together.
