American president Theodore Roosevelt had described his form of foreign policy in a January 1900 letter. He wrote: "Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far."
In October 2021 my German Shepherd puppy K2 seems to be expressing his version of it. Sit softly, since he definitely has a powerful bark, and cuddle a big stick, since he seems to be resting after running with that massive thing in his mouth.
