This is an Old English Bulldog I saw at Pampered Paws in East Granby, Connecticut. The "old" in its name is to represent the older style of Bulldog, before it was ruined by the AKC, according to the owner. This Bulldog is bigger and doesn't have the shoved in face like the Bulldogs of today.

Very intersting new member of Dogs Hope Rescue. I knew I was getting another pointer from the same "hunt reserve." I didn't expect this though. The rescue volunteer who acted as "middle person" told me she was a long haired pointer - pointers don't come in long hair. Turns out she is indeed a Large Munsterlander Pointer, although this baby appears not to have the least bit interest in anything other than being loved and cuddled.

I really wonder if I am meant not to have anything of my own to enjoy which dogs don't want to tear up. Heather, the destructive GSP, decided that the leaves were very good to eat. She did eat up a good bit of one of the plants. I had to put a temporary fence around the pot. If I don't watch her, she will probably take the fence apart. Who knew that cantaloupe leaves were good to eat.

Week 21 of 52 Weeks for Dogs for my Zooie
Zooie has been playing with Benni everyday. It is wonderful to see him have fun with his "brother". They used to play all the time before Bubba became part of the family. It makes me so happy to see my precious Dobe enjoying life to the fullest.

All I can say is that he looks a lot better in these pictures than he does in person, maybe it is the greasy kennel smell, the oozing sores on his back and almost no hair on his face and feet. Anyway, he is alive, he is holding his tail up and looking interested in his surroundings. He is going to the vet on Monday to start on getting beautiful and healthy.
