My brother wants to become a confectioner, and asked me to take a photo of his latest creation, now I can't wait to eat them!
Playing with my new (second-hand) Sigma 600mm mirror lens. Deliberately out-of-focus to accentuate doghnut bokeh.

This is a human blood sample with Wright stain at 100X, as typically seen when doing a complete blood count (CBC). The doghnut-shaped cells are red blood cells, the small purple spots are platelets, the cell on the upper left is an eosinophil, the cells at top and bottom are monocytes, and the other 4 white cells are segmented neutrophils. This is a stitch of 10 frames taken wtih the macro lense pointed through the microscope ocular.
Sporty and Cuttie are opening a new Doughnut shop at my house! They want to invite you to visit!!
Have a nice weekend my flickr friends!
Part of the "Coffee and Doughnuts" presentation. Look at the little dish to the right of doughnuts: salted pop corn ice cream - it was ridiculously good!
Please enjoy the entire Per Se (Dinner) picture set and consider Overall Impression.
Marimoon arrasou c/ seu figurino no VMB 2010 na MTV e a Patch Poá está muito honrada de ter sua singela participação.
It's a marching band very close to White Tower of Thessaloniki.
Because light is very low, I use a speed almost 1 sec, f/4, ISO 1600.
Yesterday I cooked for the family (basically I burned the fish Nana's mon
was cooking... she said 5 minutes I heard 50 minutes). Today is my last day
at their house (going to buy some doghnuts and watch Lord of the Rings on
tv). Tomorrow I will start my trip (a month late, but I had things to do).
Motsumoto tomorrow and the Suwa/Okaya the day after. Shinobu, Kyoko, Ez,
Chi, Suzuki, Uchiyama... hope I can see you some then. Anyone got a place
for me that would be great.
These are Nana's grandparents, Ojichan and Obachan. I dont know their
names, neither does Nana, I think. Ojichan (grandad) always talks to me as
if I can understand him, its very funny sometimes, I think he forgets that I
dont understand, then in mid conversation remebers and laughs at his
attempt. I catch one or two words per sentence, but they are quite long,
mumbled andin old fashioned Japanese. Obachan (grandmother) on the other
hand, can explain things very clearly. I guess I'm better tuned to
listening to women speaking english. Actually, I meet and talk to women
mostly. Men are often tied to their desks at work or too cool to take part
in anything. Apparently my way of talking is a little bit femine because of
this. I don't do well in macho males conversations. Not rude enough.
