Some of my favorite flowers. So cheery!

I may just have to share a photo of Bandit at least once a week, seeing as how she follows me around and has gotten really good at photo “bombing” me or just out right getting in front of what I am trying to photograph (Brownie camera) and sitting there.

I have been also testing out the Ricoh “filters” the last few days. I usually shoot everything raw, and make corrections in post. I have been really having fun shooting in raw + jpgs lately to see the filter results. It is freeing.

P.S. Just noticed a little Rembrandt lighting going on.

Il y a quelque temps alors que je ne m'y attendais pas , au détour d'un chemin sous un orage de montagne avec Oggì, je fis la découverte de ce sublime Lilium pomponium (lys de Pomponne) . Quelle surprise, il est sublime avec ce rouge éclatant ! Il va falloir réussir à faire quelque chose malgré l'orage. L'année prochaine, il me faudra trouver le Lys martagon avec son rose fuschia

Tea break in the sun.

I swear every year we have less and less frogs in our pond. I remember a time when they would smile for the camera. Maybe it’s because our pond has been taken over by duckweed. I think we may need to purchase lots of pond snails to eat it all, plus they’ll be fun to capture too.

Haven’t used my Canon camera in awhile with my favorite 100mm macro lens. So, I broke it out to use on some Snapdragons that came back up from last year.

This was one of those days that was super sunny in the morning and once my friend and I had walked pretty far into the hills, the skies suddenly turned from blue to black and the heavens opened up. This was the day we realised our waterproof coats were in fact useless and we got completely soaked but my did we laugh and we still laugh about it now.

Life rarely goes as we planned but this is how memories are made…

Blue Jays really making noise flying over head while the owl watched them and me.

Discovered this owl that has been visiting our yard the last few nights. We hear them, but hardly ever see them.

Week 25: Vintage Vibe

Been a super busy week. Just took a quick shot.

I did not have much time today, so I grabbed a quick shot of this log.

Mushroom in our backyard with little red bugs on it.

Sitting on the porch chillin listening to some really scary night noises. Some animals do not sound ok. Yikes! Not sure what craziness is happening in in the dark tonight.

It has been raining pretty much for two days and this was from our drive home. Right when we got home it poured. The creek in front of our house is really rushing. We may have some flooding on the road tonight.

The cicadas are here and they are loud.

Noticed another interesting shadow.

Galaxy of nature on earth

My camera is super heavy, one day when we have lots more money, I will go out and buy a lighter camera but not until we have paid it all to our gas and electricity company and to our local supermarkets. We are clearly living in Rip Off Britain especially when we come to understand that both electric companies and supermarkets have just made the most highest recorded profits in history and there was me thinking there was a cost of living crisis…. Turns out, it is just corporate greed!!!

Rant over…. So until we can buy a lighter camera, I’ve taken to using my iPhone 11 Pro at times, mostly high pain days.

She may have a wild soul,

Captured using the Raynox 250 attached macro lens, this was captured Freehand whilst holding my breath. Not the easiest thing to do, it takes a lot of patience and a very still hand but I do find a tripod just gets in the way and I love that adrenaline rush when I’ve finally managed a clear shot..

A gentle reminder to never fall into the trap of comparing yourself, in all your gloriously flawed and messy wondrousness, to someone's else's carefully curated online content.
