Detail of recto of page with a handwritten genealogy of the Beauchamp family, mainly a collateral branch to the Earls of Warwick, in English. El Grupo Editorial El Siglo & La Estrella (GESE) celebra el rol de la mujer en la innovación social de Panamá.

En su cuarta versión, celebrada el pasado jueves 31 de marzo, el conversatorio ‘25 mujeres más destacadas de Panamá’ dio protagonismo a quienes desempeñan papeles decisivos en diversos sectores del país.En el conversatorio se dieron cita en calidad de panelistas la vicepresidenta de la Asamblea Nacional de Diputados, Kayra Harding; la consultora de creatividad cultural, Amanda Destro, y la economista y empresaria Elisa Suárez. En su intervención, las también galardonadas en las categorías de política, cultura y emprendimiento, respectivamente, comentaron sobre los retos que se han superado en el impulso de las mujeres en estos sectores y la hoja de ruta a seguir para garantizar un futuro sin brecha de género y mayores oportunidades.

 

Liderando un cambio

En la lista de mujeres galardonadas en las categorías ya mencionadas, se encuentran: Olga Sinclair (artista), Isabel de Obaldía (artista), Giselle González Villarrué (ministra de MiCultura), María Quintero (diseñadora), Min Chen (ingeniera), Damaris Young (presidenta del COP), Dafni Mora (ingeniera mecánica), Mairim Solís (biomédica), Marixa Lasso (historiadora), y Eileen Coparropa (nadadora), por mencionar algunas.

 

Presente también en el evento, la vicealcaldesa del distrito de Panamá, Judy Meana, aplaudió los esfuerzos de las mujeres galardonadas como “actoras y pilares del impulso nacional”.
