The house on this island has always left me wondering: What would it really be like to live there?
It's located near the town of Cohasset, MA. I'm not sure why it's named "Doctor's Island" - Sure there's an interesting story.

The 'four doctors' were theologians who established early Christian doctrines.
At left is St Augustine, Bishop of Hippo in Africa (395-430AD). He is flourishing a pen. The right hand panel portrays one of the donors.

With no voice due to a cold, the doctor said take the day to rest your voice and get better. Well, he also said to get fresh air...so when Q148 was reported with CREX 1505 leading, I figured why not go out for a bit!
I had to get a picture with the Dr. Noxious head and hat as I love plague doctors and had a lot of fun making one.

La Catedral Nueva, adosada a la Vieja, se comenzó a construir en 1513, inaugurándose en agosto de 1733. En la promoción inicial intervinieron los Reyes Católicos, a petición del Cabildo Catedral, quien, con los obispos sucesivos, actuó siempre como principal promotor.
Entre los grandes maestros arquitectos que dirigieron las obras durante casi dos siglos y medio figuran, entre otros, Juan y Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón, Juan de Álava, Juan Setién Güemes, Pantaleón Pontón, los hermanos Churriguera y Juan de Sagarbinaga. Se comenzó a construir en estilo tardogótico y, aunque goza de la utilización de algunos otros estilos posteriores, conservará hasta el final una unidad estilística en este arte, impuesta y querida por el Cabildo. Se trata de una iglesia de planta rectangular, compuesta por tres naves y capillas hornacinas entre contrafuertes. Se cubre por bóvedas de crucería con terceletes y combados dibujando complejos y hermosos diseños estrellados, en los que brillan especialmente las claves. En el crucero se yergue un magnífico cimborrio formado por cuerpo ochavado sobre pechinas con monumentales relieves de los misterios marianos, sobrepasado por un luminoso tambor cilíndrico liberado merced a los amplios ventanales y cúpula semiesférica. En el exterior remata en una falsa linterna; fue finalizado por Juan Sagarbinaga en 1765.
La Iglesia recibe la luz de casi un centenar de vidrieras, procedentes originariamente de Flandes aquellas que muestran un episodio bíblico. En sus muros también se extienden dos galerías corridas, en dos alturas, numerosos medallones con bustos de profetas, evangelistas, personajes de las Sagradas Escrituras y doctores, y otros tantos escudos catedralicios con el búcaro de azucenas.

Something a little different today :) Thank you all for asking about my health. I'm feeling pretty well today. Went to my ENT doctor and will be having some minor surgery on January 5th. Also have to have a tube put into one of my ears. SEE!! I REALLY am a kid!! LOLOL!!! Will be round to visit soon. Promised my son I would make him some "glorified brownies" Yummy stuff!

Recipe for Glorified Brownies - preheat oven to 375 degrees
1 cup chopped pecans (I don't use them cause kid doesn't like them)
1 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
2 cans Eagle Brand CONDENSED milk
2-3 teaspoons vanilla ( I use 3 cause I like it)
1 box, graham crackers. Take 3 of the long ones out...don't use them. Crush the graham crackers very well.
Mix all ingredients together. It will be so thick you will think you need Popeye arms.
Butter VERY WELL a 9x9 pan. Bake for about 20 - 30 mins. until golden brown and "set". They are oooey gooey good!
Eat and enjoy!! They are EXTREMELY rich!

The bottling company in Dublin TX was once a Dr Pepper bottler. No longer, but it is still in operation, though some of it has been converted to a museum showcasing it's former heyday!
Got the new POTC cannibal escape set and thought the cannibals' heads were great for a voodoo witch doctor.

I decided to redo this guy, because I didn't really like how he turned out the first time.
Doctor Strange:
I started with the hair from the OG superman, cut off the curl, and painted it in dark brown with some whitish-gray sides and black highlights. I might sculpt more hair onto the front, but for now I like it. His head was a storm trooper head (which I pretty much use as a base for all my heads) with various detail to match the likeness of Benedict Cumberbatch.
The front of the torso was painted bright blue with black and flesh detail. His garbs used to be glued on, but this time I made them removeable. This time I made the Eye of Agamotto 3D by using plastic. His arms were wrapped in cloth and painted. Same goes for the hands. I painted some simple lines on the legs.
His accessory is made from glow in the dark powder mixed with glue and shaped into a circle when it was still soft. Pic in the dark soon. His necklace was brushed with glue and powder, so it glows a little bit too.
Overall, I like how he turned out.
Kaecilius is possible because I'm making a head. Not sure if ancient one is happening. Baron Mordo is in question as well.

What there is to say? I love medicine, i love the ability to heal, to aid people, the knowledge about human body and the responsability in taking desitions that can change a person's life.I just enjoy Med School, I want to be a better doctor, i WANT to, i dont feel obligated to be one... and that feels good.
I'm told one of these magical spherical things per day will keep the doctor away. Like so many things these days one wonders about the truth of that. Fuji Apples, Orem, Utah.
Stuck to the old design (minus the helmet) for this one. No lightbulb on the torso unfortunately, but I think Zod's head works well on him.
Cancelled due to Covid The UK Railtours "The Doctor Syn" finally ran on the 30th October. The tour visited the freight only lines of Grain and Dungeness and HVO converted 66 004 is seen at Sunset arriving at the Dungeness Rail Head with the 1335 departure from Grain. Standard 66 128 was on the rear and worked the train back to Derby as 1Z42 1700 Dungeness to Derby.

Doctor Who Hare by Caroline Fairbairn

In collaboration with the Murray Parish Trust we wanted to produce a Hampshire Hare that celebrated the phenomena that is Doctor Who. It will feature all the portraits of all the doctors on an astral nebula that swirls around the Hare. It is our aim to get as many of the amazing actors who have played Doctor Who to sign the sculpture before its final varnishing. There are very few British institutions that evoke such love across the all generations. I feel it will be a firm family favourite on the trail.
There is a new art trail in Southampton and Winchester this summer. For ten weeks Hares of Hampshire will bring thirty-two large hares and forty-two leverets to the streets, parks, galleries and shops of the two cities.
All money raised by donations and by the auction of the hares at the end of the summer will go to the Murray Parish Trust.
Yeah - I was going to include Doc Ock in yesterday's Spider-Man post, then I made too many versions and I decided to make a separate post, as I do. Also, I'm going to list these below, but they're definitely just inspired by these sources - I know none are 100% accurate.
