1 Princes Dock is the name of this high-rise. It is 68 metres tall with 22 floors and was completed in 2006. The area was deserted when I took this photo and the wind was blowing so hard that it had scattered quite a bit of debris about.
On 3rd September 2011, the Grimsby Rotary Club organised a charity climb of the famous Grimsby Dock Tower
Victoria Dock: The sun has just come out -What a difference that makes! The Hotel Grand Chancellor with its' magnificent 180 deg. panoramas from all levels. Off to the right the old Gasometer, further around 'The Drunken Admiral' Seafood Restaurant with the tan roof and wonderful things inside! Then Henry Jones IXL. Jam Factory. God, I love this place!

Docking in Cristobal, Panama Canal Zone. The warehouses carry the date 1913. This is a container port today.
Oriana docked at Port of Cristobal rather than heading directly out to sea to enable passengers time to visit Colon. Cristobal was in the Canal Zone, Colon in Panama. I liked the way the twin communities together were "Cristobal Colon" [i.e. "Christopher Columbus" in Spanish]. Someone had been clever!

This picture was taken in 1994 in the Setúbal industrial port, with a analogic Canon Camera, with a 50mm lens. The film was a 50 iso by Ilford. It was processed by me in my dark chamber. I didn´t touch in the photoshop with this one! Hope you like it!

I figured I would give everyone a break from the desert/rock pictures that have dominated my stream the last week or so...so we'll go in to the archives and pull out a black and white version of a photo that I've really grown to like, hell, I even blew it up and put the color version on my wall!

Albert Dock is a complex of dock buildings and warehouses in Liverpool, England. Designed by Jesse Hartley and Philip Hardwick, it was opened in 1846, and was the first structure in Britain to be built from cast iron, brick and stone, with no structural wood. As a result, it was the first non-combustible warehouse system in the world.
Disused cranes in Bristol Docks. Because large ships couldn't easily use the dock in Bristol, one was built in Avonmouth in 1908. Companies started switching to the new port, with the last one finally moving in 1981, leaving these cranes and warehouses redundant.
