City of Holbæk (DK), augustus 2011
Holbæk is on Zealand, on the banks of Holbæk Fjord, an inlet of the larger Isefjord. Holbæk is a commercial and industrial center for the surrounding area. By rail, Holbæk is serviced by Danske Statsbaner's line from Roskilde to Kalundborg, which runs through the city. Vestsjællands Lokalbaner connects Holbæk by rail to Nykøbing Sjælland. The city serves as a major hub for the Movia bus routes. Holbæk has an active commercial seaport that serves as the harbor for the ferry to Orø (island). Near the harbor there is a substantial marina.
Holbæk's history dates back to around 1200. The city expanded from around 1300 when the king built a castle here. However, the city has historically not been as important as other major cities in the area and only little from the city's early history has survived until today.
This sculpture was set in Copenhagen during the covid pandemia. Then it was moved to its final place in Roskilde.

Defensie Kampioenschap in Zutphen waarbij de CLSK, CLAS en KMAR strijden om de velbegeerde beker.

Op 10 mei vond het DK (Defensiekampioenschap) Speedmars plaats op de historische locatie Kasteel van Breda. Een speedmars is een militaire term voor een snelle verplaatsing te voet door een legereenheid, met bepakking en wapen. Daarbij wordt hardlopen afgewisseld met marcheren om het langer vol te kunnen houden. Tijdens het kampioenschap wordt het marcheren over 100m afgewisseld met hardlopen over 400m. De senioren mannen (onder 36 jaar) leggen op deze manier 5 km af en de Masters mannen (vanaf 36 jaar) en vrouwen leggen op deze manier 3 km af. Uiteindelijk gaat het erom de afstand zo snel mogelijk af te leggen.
Bij een Defensiekampioenschap strijd je als individu of met een team van je eenheid of OPCO tegen deelnemers vanuit geheel Defensie zowel burgers als militairen.
Door deel te nemen aan (militaire) sportwedstrijden ontwikkelt de Defensiemedewerker zijn competenties en netwerk binnen Defensie. Sport verbroedert!
