My entry for #djokemsokem contest by Djokson. My last minute entry is here to slam the competition!
Featuring elements made of ACTUAL metal! The rings are parts of old ninjago spinners. Don't ask me how heavy the whole thing is :^)
Years ago a rising star was forced into retirement by injury, and disappeared soon after... could he have become this shadowy challenger, tearing through tournaments and titleholders with dark devices? And can even the heroes of the RoboRumble 3000 avoid their eclipse by this sinister insurgent?
My entry to #DJOKEMSOKEM! I figured better builders than I have probably got the grey robot with red gloves sort of thing covered, so maybe a darker rival would be interesting. Other pictures in the album. On with the RoboRumble 3000!

The first version of this I finished about a week ago just in time for Djokson's Djokemsokem contest.
It was rushed out in under 48hrs and I wasn't really happy enough with it to upload here, so here's the more polished version a week later.

BR4W-LR; a claptrap inspired by 'Borderlands 3'. An entry for RoboRumble 3000.
Claptrap had always wanted to participate in the RoboRumble, but was always told he was too scrawny and weak for it. However, what he lacks in size and strength he makes up with moxy and heart!

This was a left-over half of what Brawler/Buster originally was, this being the back half.
The B-07 is the latest achievement in mechanized fighting! Steel, servos and pistons, all combined and perfected into a dense, agile, hard hitting machine of metal crunching madness!! Stay on your toes! Don't let it get behind you, and look out for that rocket powered right hook!

Built for the RoboRumble 3000 contest by Djokson.
One of the latest fighters to enter the RoboRumble 3000 is Ernest Tango, most famous for having won the Pakari belt six times in a row*. Will he prevail again or will he be defeated ?
*That's because it's a made-up trophy created by Tango himself, he has actually never fought before.
I had the idea of building a robotic boxer for the "Duellists" week of Mech Monday, so I've built gloves, but never managed to complete the build.
#DJOKEMSOKEM was the perfect opportunity to get back to work and finally finish this.

Turns out a simple arm modification is all you need to jump from featherweight to heavyweight at RoboRumble 3000.

Welcome one and all to RoboRumble 3000, the biggest event in the history of the Mechanoid Boxing League! Contestants are drawn from all around the galaxy by the allure of becoming the new RoboRumble Champion!
Your task as a contestant will be to build a ROBOTIC BOXER to compete! What this means is up to you, all it’s gotta be is a robot that’s also a boxer, other than that anything goes! RoboBrawl is a free for all, there are no classes and weight categories so don’t worry about any of that. As long as it’s a robot of whatever sort which looks like it belongs in the ring, you’re good to go!
Despite that though, there are some rules!
- The contest will be open to submissions from Flickr and Instagram. To enter here on Flickr simply tag me in the photo you want to use as your entry and include the hashtag #DJOKEMSOKEM in the description!
- The fighter has to be a new build. That means no MOCs that were already posted online before the announcement of the contest. It also has to have been built by you yourself, obviously.
- It’s one entry per competitor. You may submit ONE potential RoboRumble champion!
- Physical builds only. This means no creations made with digital brick building software (LDD, Ldraw, Stud.io, etc.) Sorry!
- Modified and non-Lego parts ARE allowed! (Keep it within reason though; it’s still supposed to be a Lego building contest.)
- The final deadline for entries is JUNE 6TH 23:59 CET! There will be no extensions so make sure you submit your fighter on time!
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to the part everybody actually cares about, the prizes!
- First place will take home an exclusive and rare copy of Art of Bionicle!
- Second place will be rewarded with a translucent neon-green skull mask and clear mask of fire which were only available to NYCC visitors as well as a rare yellow Kaukau which was only available in 2001 Kanohi packs by mistake!

The winners will be contacted with a request for the shipping addresses after the judging period is over.
This brings me to the last point of interest, the judging. Of course, I don’t actually expect you to mash your tiny plastic robots together and see who wins a boxing match. The winners will be decided upon by a panel of judges, based on their creativity, technique displayed (interesting parts use), coolness of concept and contest theme appropriateness. I expect the judging to take about two weeks tops after the end of the entry period.

There's lots that I'm not proud of (like the photo) but I'm glad I made something because it was a lot of fun.

A retired military robot and boxing hero of Prime-Time TV and Saturday Morning Cartoons, who defeated seven-time champion Deep Red, and brought a nation to a halt when his manager threatened retirement after a failed bout. Many children and adults still believe that their idol would have returned, had his manager not been found dead in his apartment, head pulped with force that could only have come from one source.

After the 3rd Proto War, thousands of now outdated Type-U medium CCU:s were abandoned, and left to rust on the battlefield. Some of these fearsome warmachines were salvaged by local colonists, and given a new paint job, a pair of shock dampeners, and new programming, switching their primary role from mass-destruction to mass-entertainment. Every four years pilots from all around the Sol-system come to test their skills in the RoboRumble3000, the largest sporting event at this side of the Kuiper belt.
After the incident of 2249, use of thermo-nuclear energy was prohibited, and the machines were modified to run on eco-friendly solar electricity. The now empty reactor shells were outfitted to house two massive confetti cannons for victory celebrations.

This model was made for Djoksons robot boxer -competition over the course of one and a half weeks. It was a great learning experience on how NOT to build a mecha at this scale (ball joints, never again), but still an enjoyable process all together.

Ablazed in battle, Pyranok relocated his arms onto a giant wheel for high velocity rapid spin.
I would snip out the ball joints, but I wanted this to be authentic.

In building the ultimate boxing bot, the designer looked to nature for inspiration. The Tarakava is a fearsome beast, and it's essence was captured for this robotic juggernaut. With high grip treads for great maneuverability, super extend-o arms for keeping out of reach (Actual working function!), and a nasty bite capable of biting through titanium, this battle bot can't be beat!
Its also waterproof for some reason.
(The Tara-Saca is only intended for the ring and is NOT a secret prototype for the Matoran navy's secret weapon.)
