Sunrise Mist Inversion at St Thomas Church, Slovenia
Oh wow. There are some mornings that will have you reminded as to why you decided to become a professional photographer all those years ago and one morning last week was one such occasion.
Arriving high up on the hillside opposite St Thomas Church near Skofja Loka at 6.45am (35 minutes before sunrise) only to find the most amazing mist inversion possible with some gorgeous soft golden light that filled the sky and the hugely impressive surrounding mountains in the background.
I was in seventh heaven.
But to have six amazing people to share it with makes the occasion all the more special for I genuinely get as much joy seeing other people capture beautiful images and experience such incredible moments on locations as I do.

Am Passo di Giau war ich insgesamt dreimal, zweimal morgens zum Sonnenaufgang und einmal abends zum Sonnenuntergang. Es hat mir da sehr gut gefallen, die Berglandschaft ist dort sehr beeindruckend.
I went to the Passo di Giau three times, twice in the morning at sunrise and once in the evening at sunset. I really liked it there, the mountain landscape is very impressive there.

Nice to play with the drone (DJI MINI 3 PRO) ever so often, it would be rude not to today with this gorgeous scenery and light. Sadly could never do it justice from the ground

The Paternkofel is a 2744 meter high mountain that stands on the border between South Tyrol and the province of Belluno in Italy.
On September 11, 1882, Franz Innerkofler and Erich Künigl were the first people to climb the mountain.
The Drei Zinnen Hütte, which was built there in 1935, is at an altitude of 2405 meters.

Der Paternkofel ist ein 2744 Meter hoher Berg der auf der Grenze zwischen Südtirol und der Provinz Belluno in Italien steht.
Am 11. September 1882 war Franz Innerkofler und Erich Künigl die ersten Menschen, die den Berg bestiegen haben.

The ghost town Prypjat / Pripjat?? No, a lot of fog and hoarfrost in the back light.
Die Geisterstadt Prypjat / Pripjat?? Nein, dicker Nebel samt Raureif erzeugten diese Szene im Gegenlicht.

Up In The Heavens, Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye, Scotland
Every now and then I see a scene and capture a shot that literally stops me in my tracks and on Tuesday, it was one of those occasions.
Having pulled up by the roadside with my six workshop clients in tow, we set about photographing the Old Man as the low cloud swirled around the rock formations some height up from where we were.
It looked magnificent I don't mind admitting and so I thought that I would send up my drone (DJi Mini 3 Pro) to see what I could capture. The views from up there were quite simply outstanding as the drone flew around the rock formations. Honestly, it was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. The freshly fallen overnight snow created a magical winter scene.
