Towering high above British Columbia's Okanagan lake and the village of Naramata is the Kettle Valley Rail Trail's Little Tunnel. This short tunnel is probably the most popular tunnel on the trail, the views from here are stunning.

Looking straight down at my friend and I on the sand dune.

One of the many views of Okanagan Valley from The Kettle Valley Rail Trail, looking south. The lake is the Okanagan Lake and the lake on the other side of the city of Penticton is Skaha Lake. This picture was taken from the same spot as the previous one.

The boats are slowly coming back to their slips after spending the winter ashore, and the coots are gathering to head out to the open water as another great Okanagan day comes to an end. Okanagan Lake is a large, 135 Kilometre “S” shaped lake in southern British Columbia, Canada.

I have a DJI Mini 2 and I may share some more stuff later on.

This week's COVID-19 Adventure And Picnic took us to the Christina Lake area of British Columbia to explore some of the railroad bridges. Built in the late 1800s, the Kettle River Trestle Bridge or the Kettle River Number 5 is 157 metres long (515 ft) and crosses the Kettle River near Christina lake. Today the bridge is known as the Smitten Trestle and is one of the longest on the Canadian Pacific Railway.

probably need to do two shots and blend or use the exposure compensation next time, still paranoid about bringing the thing back in one piece and not annoying folk!

Flying over the Bodega Head on a calm January evening, 150 meters above California's Pacific Ocean coastline, looking South toward Bodega Bay, with San Francisco just over the horizon. This is a panorama, stitched from two frames, each a composite of three images, shot with the DJI Mini 2 drone.

Markhor Mountain in southern British Columbia is less popular for hikers than its nearby neighbours, Needle Peak and Flatiron, but on this particular day, both Needle Peak and Flatiron were socked-in. The tiny but mighty DJI mini 2 tracked a line of sight through the clouds from my vantage point on the Needle Peak trail and captured Markhor peak basking in sunshine. Oh, to soar like an eagle at the summit on such a day!

Exploring rural roads in the Ashnola River area of British Columbia. This is the first bridge over the river, and I have crossed it multiple times, but it never appealed to me until this day. Maybe it was the autumn colours or the lack of wind, as it gets pretty windy in here, so I stopped and wandered around. I took a few shots from many different angles, settling on this one.

From the ground, the three puddles of water on the beach just look like three puddles of water. The scene changes from a higher perspective, the puddles change into eyes and nose, while the sand becomes a forehead and cheeks. The higher the perspective, the more the primate emerges, perhaps “Bigfoot” like. The lighthouse standing on its mane offers protection from passing boats.

January sunset over the Pacific Ocean coastline, looking north up the coast from the mouth of the Russian River close to the town of Jenner, California. This is a three-frame bracket, shot with the DJI Mini 2 drone, 70 meters above water.
