Another photograph I dug out of my Archived Slides. It was taken in the Cayman Islands, on the island of Cayman Brac. This was taken from the boat dock in the lagoon that was protected by the small barrier reef.

I scanned this slide a few years ago. I used Photoshop clone tool to clone out people in the water and the sand.

Unfortunately in September 2006 the Divi Tiara Beach Resort closed their doors. It was a great dive destination. The staff was great and the ability to dive two different islands Cayman Brac and Little Cayman made this resort exceptional.

The famous Divi Divi tree is Aruba's natural compass, always pointing in a southwesterly direction due to the trade winds that blow across the island from the north-east. Aruba's trademark: the Divi Divi or watapana tree

I dug this photo up out of my Archived Slides. It was taken in the Cayman Islands, on the island of Cayman Brac. I was going through some dive news the other day and found out some disappointing news. “Divi Resorts has decided to cease business operations at Divi Tiara Beach Resort in Cayman Brac as of September 23, 2006.”

I took this photo on my way to the bar. The bar was a grass hut right on the sand jut to the left of the image. The bar had the best seats in the house.

I scanned this slide a few weeks ago did some adjustments in Photoshop. Comments and Critiques are always welcome.

The oldest TV Transmitter in Ireland. Taken 5th Jan. 2008.

Divis KP or Divis Key Point as it was known, was a remote military communications station situated on the bleak Divis Mountain to the west of Belfast overlooking the City. Due to the highly sensitive nature of the site little is publicly known about it, however as part of the normalisation process within Northern Ireland it was abandoned in around 2005, this visit was in 2008. I believe it was demolished the following year.

There was a short article I came across in ‘The Sapper’ magazine January 2005 from the two Sections who were tasked with the ‘lock and leave’ of Divis KP. They stripped out 2km of coil fencing, installed new chain link fence with razor wire, removed the reinforced concrete blocks along with other improvised barriers and electrical cables.

When I visited first, it was clear that vandals had cut wire to gain access, and smashed doors and windows, as well as caused other damage inside. Most of the site has been removed, and the compound reduced in size, but a single mast and transmitter house still remain.

Domitian. As Caesar, AD 69-81. Bronze counterfeiter’s obverse hub for denarius set in iron shank (20x29mm, 47.43 g). Made after AD 80. CAESAR DIVI F DOMITIANVS COS VII, laureate head right. Cf. RSC obverse legend/type Da.

The intended use of this counterfeiter’s tool was as a hub for creating dies or moulds, rather than the imitative coins themselves. For a die or mold, an inverted image of the eventual coin would be necessary, with features being reversed and incuse. This piece, however, has features which are exactly as would be seen on the coin, thereby being used to impress an inverted image into a die or clay mold, which would then be used to make the coins. cngcoins.com

A very similar bridge, this time with the colorful evening sky!

The day before our flight, Luis and I decided not to dive. The answer to the test is 18 hours, the general rule is 24 hours before, but we were so exhausted that we took a break. We thought we'd take pictures of our "home" for the past 2 weeks.
