This is some of the things left over from an illegal cat holding area, think it was traveling folks that had it as it didn't last long but the place is now an eye sore.

A scene from a visit Mid-December (2018)
Passenger trains stopped running here (Rochdale to Bacup line) in June 1947 due to competition from road transport... A temporary coal-supply crises was also cited as a reason... but passenger services stopped altogether in 1949...
Goods trains continued to run until 1963 - which coincides with Dr Beeching's controversial railway Axe - closing over 5,000 miles of track and 2,363 stations. (in UK)
A selection of used and disused boathouses line parts of the Loch shoreline adding an extra touch of colour.
I saw this property about 1/2 mile off the road. I pulled into an empty parking lot of a deserted meat processing business two stone roads away. It was a neat old building so I started taking photos of it. Of course, a truck pulls into the lot. Now remember, I am in the country on a two lane road with nobody around. Good Grief.
So I started to back the car out and this man comes over to the car, “Hey, Hey, stop! May I help you with something?” he said. I explained how I liked to take pictures of old barns and buildings.
Instead of telling me to get lost, he asked me if I would like to photograph that old house way back off that dirt road. He pointed to the house I had been eyeing. I said, “I sure would!” So I drove down a muddy road with bricks sticking up and fields on both sides and took some shots of this beauty. It is for sale, by the way.
Now that was the nicest owner I’ve met yet. At least, I hope he was the owner :-)
Disused mine at Minions, Bodmin Moor, Cornwall.
This is the Phoenix United mine complex, with the landmark Pumping Engine House and its prominent chimney at the right and other mining buildings to its left. This mine produced over 16,000 tons of tin and 83,000 tons of copper between 1842 and 1898, and was re-opened after the sinking of a new shaft in 1907. However, the expected tin resources were not in place and it was re-closed in 1914.

Soon to be turned into a 3mtr wide hard surfaced Cycle path. Which further restricts the dwindling amount of natural habitat that wildlife in this part of Warwickshire has. The bridge in the photo is to be demolished along with another which spans the A423 in this section, the latter being replaced with a modern metal constructed pedestrian bridge..So any railway heritage will be lost forever! The application by Sustrans. Sustrans Ltd for planning permission along with detailed plans and diagrams etc can be found at.... www.planningportal.rugby.gov.uk RefR20/0914 Along with this and the construction of HS2 which is at present ripping through this part of Warwickshire. The wildlife is taking a real hammering and will take years to recover from the loss of habitat.
Opened in 1887 the Alnwick to Cornhill branch line always struggled to find passengers with the area being quite sparsely populated. In addition the geography dictated that a number of stations were at a distance from the village they served.
It lasted as a passenger line from 1887 to 1930, with freight traffic on this southern (Alnwick) section of the line finally ceasing in 1953.
