This installation was a result of research that I did looking at the senses and how other artists have used them. Using what I learned to create a work that considered all the senses. So for the installation, I chose three out of the five sesnse. Sight being the main sense, with tough and sound used also. The colours of the umbrellas that were eliminated by the light and the aesthetically pleasing rain droplets coming down. You could tough it all with the floor being covered in silicon to create a different texture and sound to transport you.
Going to FL to defend my dissertation. This marks the end of 8 years of doctoral work, three full years of writing, thinking, growing...What a journey. The light is definitely shinning at the end now, and unlike my daugther running with her back to it, I am willing to embrace it and let it warm me all over! :-) send me some beams of clarity at 9:30 EST this Friday!

Finally the stress of handing in our dissertations is OVER. There is nothing we can do now and it's about time that we can devote our life to living once again.
Ok, so as I explained yesterday, the upcoming months will be dominated by my dissertation. And this is why. A distinct lack of motivation and thus progress.
