I am heading abroad for a couple of weeks so this will be my last upload for a while. But continuing my theme of "in habitat" shots, here is a Goshawk displaying over a conifer plantation in the Peak District. It isn't my closest photograph of a Goshawk but it does capture the essence of what it is like to see one in the wild. I remember the first time I saw one displaying and was amazed at those fluffed out, gleaming white undertail coverts, almost as if it was wearing a nappy as they wrap around the tail sides. This feature shows best from above and against a dark background, but getting a view from above isn't easy. But this photograph ticks both those boxes.
Fireworks are a class of low explosive pyrotechnic devices used for aesthetic and entertainment purposes. The most common use of a firework is as part of a fireworks display. A fireworks event (also called a fireworks show or pyrotechnics) is a display of the effects produced by firework devices. Fireworks competitions are also regularly held at a number of places. Fireworks (devices) take many forms to produce the four primary effects: noise, light, smoke, and floating materials (confetti for example). They may be designed to burn with colored flames and sparks including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and silver. Displays are common throughout the world and are the focal point of many cultural and religious celebrations.

A vivid mammatus display in Burlington, Colorado on May 27th, 2018. This was one of the better displays that I've ever seen. The wind turbines to give you a sense of scale to just how large the individual clouds are and how encompassing the entire display is.

Agave americana, common names century plant,[5] maguey, or American aloe, is a species of flowering plant in the family Asparagaceae, native to Mexico and the United States in Texas. It is cultivated worldwide as an ornamental plant, and has been naturalized in many regions, including parts of the West Indies, South America, Mediterranean Basin, Africa, Canary Islands, India, China, Thailand, and Australia.
Despite the common name "American aloe", it is not in the same family as aloe, though it is in the same order, Asparagales.
