A really hot afternoon, we were lucky to spend the Saturday at the water with a cool drink.
Hücker Moor is a nice little lake in the Herford area (Northwest Germany). Peat was cut here more than a century ago and created this lovely landscape. Today the place is a great location for wildlife and worth a trip for the local folks in all seasons.

One of the long hallways in the abandoned and heavily ransacked Kewanee Boiler Plant office. This building was closed in 2002.
After the storm „Xavier“, many trees are overturned or look so broken as here. Tree and brushwood at the canal. In our garden one of the two tops of our pine is broken – it was already very large and we have a lot of firewood now ...
