I bought blank and jones - milchbar 9 and it has a high score on discogs (4.8). I bought ramones and The Offspring when I heard Americana on Crazy Taxi on Dreamcast in 2000. Found a nice Blind Guardian with at least a 4.0 out of 5 on discogs.com. Judist priest released this album, but it may be the 3rd best album by them with good discogs score (4.2 out of 5). I was buying a lot of english rock bands like Black Sabbath, iron maiden,bolt thrower and led zepplin so I picked them up. I like Star Ocean 2nd Story on PS1 so I bought the remake. Super Mario RPG was bought 19 years ago and have snes memories of it 19 years ago. Rally racing is good like Sega Rally on Dreamcast. I bought this Gran Turismo clone, because Gran Turismo 7 locked out tracks and cars for money . John Digweed and Danny Howells sound above average. Danny Howells album is older when EDM scene was significant and this is a renaissance album like global underground,

Depeche Mode are an English electronic band that formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex. The group consists of founders Dave Gahan (lead vocals, occasional songwriter since 2005), Martin Gore (guitar, keyboards, vocals, main songwriter since 1982), and Andy Fletcher (keyboards, bass guitar). Depeche Mode released their debut album Speak & Spell in 1981, bringing the band onto the British new wave scene. Original band member Vince Clarke (keyboards, guitar, main songwriter from 1980 to 1981), left the band after the release of the album, leaving the band as a trio to record A Broken Frame, released the following year. The silences are rarely silent, as they take place in the heart of London, and the recordings often include sounds of traffic, rain, thunder, coughing, and occasionally the voice of a BBC commentator who narrates the silence.

In the 90s, Sicko was part of my holy trinity of pop punk bands. The Mr. T Experience, Zoinks and Sicko were always the ones that I was constantly obsessing over. I spent so much time in a pre-Discogs world hunting down records by them. The fact that so many are now available with the simple click of a mouse is as exciting as it is unfair.
30 years after their first full length was released, Sicko is reissuing all of their albums on vinyl and CD. These boys have put out some really important records to me and over the next four Fridays (fingers crossed that I can stay on schedule) I'm going to be writing about each of them. Maybe not on Black Friday, but we'll see how that goes.
First up is the first Sicko full length. You Can Feel The Love In This Room was originally released in 1994 and I was completely unaware that it came out. My entry point to Sicko was their next album Laugh While You Can Monkey Boy, but we'll talk more about that next week. I had to backtrack and pick up You Can Feel The Love In This Room a year after the fact. I think for that reason I honestly never really bonded with it as strongly as the others, which always felt more 'current' to me. It's kind of absurd to say that about a record that came out 30 years ago vs. the next one that came out 29 years ago, but again, during the time it felt different to me than the other three.
That's certainly not to say I don't thoroughly enjoy this record and I've listed to it more times than I can count. Just not quite as many times as the others. It is jam packed full of hits and it's really hard to argue how great songs like "The Sprinkler" or "Wisdom Tooth Weekend" are. The times I've seen Sicko live, these songs sound just as great as the ones off of other albums that I have a bit more nostalgic feelings for.
Before I talk a little bit about this specific reissue, I do need to call out how absolutely, completely fucking insane it is that all four albums were rereleased AT THE SAME TIME. That is madness and while as a fan it's sure nice to get them all without having to wait, just thinking about the logistics of making that happen makes my head hurt.
You Can Feel The Love In This Room was remastered for this rerelease and you can tell the difference. I played the first few songs off of my original LP that came out on eMpTy before putting this new version on and it's a big improvement. First off, everything is a little bit louder and a little bit fuller sounding, but where this reissue really shines for me is how much better the vocals sound. They're a little more forward and it sounds great.
There are also two bonus tracks on here, "Pain in the Ass" from their first demo and "Kathy's Dance" from the Count Me Out 7". Where are the other songs from those releases? Who knows. Maybe we're going to get a fancy pants reissue of A Brief History... one day. Rather than have both songs at the end, "Pain In The Ass" is at the end of side A of the record, which is a little jarring as I'm not used to that song being their when I've listened to the record for the past 29 years.
This is the best that this record has ever sounded and even though I already had the original LP and CD, of course I needed to have both versions of the new vinyl. Here they are, in all of their glory. I may be in the minority (as I do understand that the splatter is probably more impressive looking), but I think the solid color is the winner here, it just looks the business to me.

Deutsche Grammophon has delved into its vaults to reissue the very first "complete" studio recording of Handel's Serse. (Absent are one recitative and the B section of Serse's aria "Più che penso," crossed out in Handel's autograph score.) Recorded in 1965 and originally issued on the Westminster label, this fine performance has never been available on CD, nor has it previously been issued complete on LP outside of the United States. Its return to the catalogue is most welcome.
Maureen Forrester's rich, lustrous tone brings an ideal gravity to the role of Serse that aurally distinguishes her from the rest of the cast. While a high note may occasionally present a challenge that is not entirely surmounted, the Canadian contralto's musicianship, vocal power and ability to spin out amazingly long phrases always win the day.
It is pure joy to hear Lucia Popp's girlish Romilda, recorded at the beginning of her career and just a year after her triumphant Queen of the Night for Klemperer on EMI. Her voice is fresh, effortlessly produced and used with the sensitivity and musicality that would always characterize her singing. Melismatic passages, such as those found in "Se l'idol mio," are rendered flawlessly and with deceptive ease, and her singing is completely free of the "note squeezing" mannerism she would later develop. Marilyn Tyler is superb as Romilda's sister Atalanta, her dusky soprano providing a clear contrast to Popp's gleaming tone, and she exhibits an impressive range up to a brilliantly finessed high D in the final cadenza of "Voi mi dite." Distinguished vocal contributions also come from Maureen Lehane as Arsamene, particularly impressive in rapid-fire coloratura, and Mildred Miller as the perpetually disguised Amastre. Thomas Hemsley and Owen Brannigan are satisfactory as Ariodate and Elviro, respectively. Conductor Brian Priestman's tempos seem spot-on throughout the work, and he leads the Vienna Radio Orchestra - playing on modern instruments - in a surprisingly stylish performance for this vintage. Martin Isepp's harpsichord riffs are inventive and always enjoyable, if occasionally rather amusingly over the top.
The stereo sound, newly remastered from original master tapes, is mostly superb, with plentiful orchestral detail and a robust lower range, although occasionally some very mild distortion dims the brilliance of the higher frequencies. The wide soundstage employed suggests character movement, and several sound effects are used to add further theatricality. (The Act II thunder effect is successful, but the subsequent "swordfight" is hopelessly silly.) Popp's angelic offstage singing at the beginning of the opera is beautifully realized, with a glowing aura of ambience surrounding the voice. It is totally believable that Serse could fall in love with Romilda at first listen - just as one will probably fall in love with the many charms of this performance.
Depeche Mode - Where's the Revolution
Depeche Mode are an English electronic band that formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex. The group consists of founders Dave Gahan (lead vocals, occasional songwriter since 2005), Martin Gore (guitar, keyboards, vocals, main songwriter since 1982), and Andy Fletcher (keyboards, bass guitar). Depeche Mode released their debut album Speak & Spell in 1981, bringing the band onto the British new wave scene. Original band member Vince Clarke (keyboards, guitar, main songwriter from 1980 to 1981), left the band after the release of the album, leaving the band as a trio to record A Broken Frame, released the following year. Gore took over the lead songwriting duties and, later in 1982, Alan Wilder (keyboards, drums, bass guitar, occasional songwriter) officially joined the band to fill Clarke's spot, establishing a line up that would continue for the next 13 years. Depeche Mode have been a trio again since 1995, when Wilder left.
