Depeche Mode - Where's the Revolution
Depeche Mode are an English electronic band that formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex. The group consists of founders Dave Gahan (lead vocals, occasional songwriter since 2005), Martin Gore (guitar, keyboards, vocals, main songwriter since 1982), and Andy Fletcher (keyboards, bass guitar). Depeche Mode released their debut album Speak & Spell in 1981, bringing the band onto the British new wave scene. Original band member Vince Clarke (keyboards, guitar, main songwriter from 1980 to 1981), left the band after the release of the album, leaving the band as a trio to record A Broken Frame, released the following year. Gore took over the lead songwriting duties and, later in 1982, Alan Wilder (keyboards, drums, bass guitar, occasional songwriter) officially joined the band to fill Clarke's spot, establishing a line up that would continue for the next 13 years. Depeche Mode have been a trio again since 1995, when Wilder left.

Gramophone Review 1975: It is unnecessary to restate the basic points made in earlier reviews of Gould's Bach performances. Most readers will already know that his various eccentricities are compensated for by moments of real illumination, that unlikely tempos go hand in hand with extreme clarity of partplaying, that his rather hard, cheerless tone is balanced by rare intellectual vitality. The French Suites ought to be a slightly different prOposition from, say, the Partitas (CBS 77289, 2/73), as this is smaller, more domestic music, and it is indeed noticeable that extravagances of slow or fast speed are avoided. In fact, on No. 5, the only Suite available in an alternative piano version (RCA LSB4079, 4/73), Emil Gilels takes both Courante and Gigue considerably faster than Gould. Otherwise there is less to choose between these two very different pianists than might be expected, especially in the Gavotte and Bourree: Gilels cannot match Gould's feline grace in the Loure, but the latter is unduly mannered in the Sarabande.
In the Sarabande of Suite No. 1, however, Gould is most communicative and one enjoys the dancelike lift of the Courante and his incisiveness amid the demisemiquavers of the Gigue. Gigue and Courante movements do particularly well, as it happens: try the refined energy of No. 3's Gigue, the gaiety of its Courante. The perfect evenness of Gould's touch is everywhere apparent, but the Allemande of No. 1 is an especially striking example, and I like the sprightly performance of the equivalent movement of No. 6. He repeats the first section of each movement, never the second, and sometimes varies the repeats effectively as in the Sarabande of No. 4. There are a few oddities such as the reversal of order of the Bourree and Minuet in No. 6, or an octave-up transposition of part of the second Minuet of No. 1, yet I think that a lot of people will enjoy this record. So, this is the negative feedback that the seller left me. As you can see, he's a liar. You can see from my other screenshot that he listed the CD as a BK03. He also replied to my PM query and confirmed that it was a BK03. yet he ships me a BK02 and then has the gall to tell me that I got what I ordered?
And the sad thing is, discogs left this negative review in place.
note: the pending review is the 2nd review I have requested of this negative feedback. My prior request was obviously removed after discogs staff looked at it and decided that the seller was right.
