The replacement rear derailleur for my ride having bent it (and the hanger) when I fell off last week.

This SLX shadow has replaced a 15 year old XT one - the last bit of my drivechain to be replaced (except the wheels). A breeze to install and set up, will see how it shifts tomorrow on the ride home.

Very impressed with Chain Reaction Cycle's service - ordered on Friday evening just before 5.30 - delivered Monday morning just after 9am! Free delivery too! :-)

Now I need to service the rest of it - chain looks like it needs replacing too!

Disturbingly sad. I treat my drivetrain like Michael Vick treats dogs. But on the bright side, 105 shifters matched with a Dura-Ace rear still kills it even when this neglected.

I took a bike maintenance class and the instructor suggested to try this. It’s OK, maybe better than other lubes but not a keeper. Wax is still the winner
