Rare Fuji K-28 35mm Film Camera

- Includes the camera, box, unused trap,

store price card, instructions,

foam inserts, and a plastic bag.

*This is part of our extensive collection

of unique cameras made by Fuji Photo.

It's been tested without film and all features

are in working order. It has never been

used to shoot film.

It was designed for rugged use

by contractors and builders on

construction sites. Waterproof

and dust/dirtproof.

A sealed Fujinon f3.9 28mm lens with adjustable

focusing and auto exposure with a set 1/100th

of a second shutter. ISO auto set for

films rated from ISO 100-400.

The Fujinon lens has 5 elements in 5 groups,

the closest focusing is 0.75m and the front

glass is 4mm thick. The camera weighs

in at 423g and 467g with batteries.

The focus scale is only in meters. The flash

must be turned on via the well-marked lever

(center), film advance is manual by the lever

on the camera’s right side and the shutter

can be locked to prevent accidental exposures.

The film rewind lever (left) gets tucked away

to prevent damage and to help seal the

top of the camera.

How cool is it to have a camera with a yellow

and black construction sticker on top

and a bulldozer on the box!

Selling stuff along the roads, that is a very normal thing to do here. But what's rather bizar about it, is the fact that they are often selling things along a particular road that are not to be found again throughout the country. For example, along this road from lake Sevan to Dilijan, they sell corn. But besides here (for about 5 miles) we never saw it again in Armenia. This also happened with clay pots, homemade brooms, all kinds of fish, sausages, hats etc.

And then a little comment about my vicious boots. Comfortable, dirtproof and eyecatchers. Literally eyecatchers because in Armenia, women wear high heels. Even when they live in tiny towns with dirtroads only, the ladies wear elegant clothes and shoes. You cannot imagine how many stares and giggles I got over my boots, or better said, how many stares my boots got. Some people even forgot to look up to see and greet me.
