Udo Dirkschneider (born 6 April 1952 in Wuppertal, Germany) is a German heavy metal singer who rose to fame with German heavy metal band Accept. After leaving Accept in 1987, he formed U.D.O., with whom he has enjoyed commercial success as well.
I am using my dog and the beauty of my nation for all it is worth at the moment. I hope you are dazzled by both and forget the fact that the composition is rather mediocre!
I also hope it makes you forget that I prommised to be more present on Flickr last time I posted, just to be absent for several days! I seems to have been spot on when I said you women know the worth of a male promise :-(
I posted a beautiful Gaelic song with my previous picture. Some young people of all ages has commented that it was a bit slow and that they would rather have rock. I am not sure my prefered music will be to everybodies taste, I still love very loud and powerfull rock. More and more to be honest. But also honest songs like folk, folkrock and country. Real music played by real people.
The 80's was a musical disaster, the only thing that are worth remembering is the heavy metal of the 80's. Well, some of it at least. One of the most interesting was the German band Accept. Fronted by the vocalist Udo Dirkschneider. A very little angry man in camo with a distinct voice. The German counterpart to Australias Angry Anderson. And like Angry Anderson in Rose Tattoo he was the band. The new album from 2010 with a new vocalist is not up to it.
On their best album, "Balls To The Wall", is the last song a ballade that is mild enough to be posted here and liked by most of you. Still it is a rock song. And very much relevant to this picture. It is called "Cold Winter Dreams". Enjoy.
