Last week, we had dinner at Pepato when we interviewed a lawyer for an Inquirer article. I realized that the only difference between high-end restaurants from, well, average-class ones is the kind of service they give to their customers. The waiters that night were really polite and attentive. :3
Of course, when I want to get her in the carrier? She fights. When it's just sitting there because I haven't put it away yet? She hangs out in it. Go figure.

For the 2nd time this summer, it was a chance to look out for some art sculptures and this time its back to Norwich.

30 or so greyhounds and other sighthounds came along for the walk in Hubbards Hills, Louth, Lincolnshire - one of many across the UK and around the world.
We really enjoyed the event, with a pleasant walk followed by a picnic.

Because of Calum's ASD and mental health issues, we got into the Kelvingrove Museum after hours to see Dippy by ourselves. I can't thank them enough!

A visit to the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum to see Dippy in Coventry.
Dippy from the Natural History Museum, London will be at The Herbert for three years.
I booked a time slot the day before going, although it didn't seem that busy, and came down the stairs after looking around the other parts of the art gallery & museum.
The first Diplodocus bones were excavated in 1877 in the USA. Dippy is a cast of a specimen that was excavated in 1899. It was the most complete sauropod skeleton at the time, which helped to make the species famous.
Dippy was acquired by Andrew Carnegie for his new museum in Pittsburgh, USA. He had several plaster-of-Paris copies made and sent to cities in Europe, Argentina and Mexico.
The London Dippy was the first replica made and was put on display in 1905 at the Natural History Museum. This was two years before the original skeleton was displayed in the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh.
