A close(r)-up of another one of Iceland's mysterious (ex-)inhabitants - a petrified troll.
Or a drinking elephant or dinosaur.
Or, for the more scientific, a 15 m high basalt sea stack.
Whatever you see in it - it's called Hvítserkur, and it can be found at the eastern shore of the Vatnsnes peninsula, in northwest Iceland.
If you have the time, the surroundings have frequently lots of seals to spot....
The Moeraki Boulders are unusually large and spherical boulders lying along a stretch of Koekohe Beach on the wave-cut Otago coast of New Zealand.
Here is another ST figure and probably one of my tallest figs so far the Demogorgon.
The Body was lengthened with a 1 by 2 lego piece and the arms were extended. The legs were modified to look like some dinosour legs. I then sculpted on the claws on the hand, the entire head, the entire body,a bit on the arms and The Knees on the legs. The teeth was a pain in the ass to sculpt but they turned out to look pretty nice. everything else is painted with revell and citadell paints. I also added a lot of shading. The background is homemade with some wood glued on to (I´m also going to use this for my next ST figs and for the showcase)
Hope you guys like it.

A Sandhill Crane (Grus canadensis). Galveston County, Texas.
The title of this image refers to a family of therapod dinosours that bore a striking resemblance to a number of long-legged, long-necked birds. Perhaps the most famous of these are members the genus Gallimimus which were featured in the movie Jurassic Park. Something about the pose I captured here reminded me of those prehistoric creatures.
With 40 degrees heat, after all those baking you sort of melt yourself.. not to mention your fondant. It just won't co-operate..
Pow!

Deep in the Southern California desert are a number of large metal sculptures created by Ricardo Breceda.
Night, near full moon, 120 second exposure, handheld light producing device set to white.
Click on the image, because it's best BIG on BLACK!!!
As the Cliftops lead down to thesea these large flat rocks are placed as what I can only assume are boundaries between the fields. Now they resemble the backs of dinosours or Dragons crawling up from the sea to cross the land.
One of the most amazing natural wonders I've ever seen in my life! On the first day of travel through Georgia I've seen this amazing canyon, which is deep, green and reminds me ancient times when dinosours were walking on the ground. I'll never forget this place! To take this picture I used tripod and Canon EOS 6D camera with Canon f/4 17-40 mm lens. I've post processed this image to emphasize all the details of the canyon.
Hope you'll like it :)

For those that like the drama of a dark dark cloudy, almost scary had bad breams when I was a kid, look :) Oh Yeah and for those of you that don't get the title, this gas station's logo was a cute little green Dino, so in honor of the dino sinclair, well you get it....The title. :) I spent three hours on this one, the one below I only spend 15 mins on, I would be curious to know which one people like best :)
Baby Dinosaur?

I took a photo walk at Duke Gardens this morning with my friend, Brian DeJong. We saw this little guy eating some of the plants, must be some kind of new science gene cloning stuff going on at Duke.

Smallest of the spiked dinosaurs, the Snowosaurus can be identified by it's single spike.
This one was spotted while it was extracting it's food from the snow. If you look close you can see the glass like tongue.
Commonly found on North Eastern coastal regions, they have been know to make short visits to southern climates.
