I started the Christmas decorations with the kids this weekend.

I've been really slacking in taking pictures, hopefully I can get back in the groove.

I found Grimlock yesterday. I love this modern version.

ToyWorld - TW-D01 Roar. Go here for my review and more pics if you're interested: goo.gl/199Dj8

Obviously the pteranodon from my last build lent itself to Swoop nicely so here are the Dinobots.

I'd normally wait until I had the pieces to do something with this but the gold Belville shoes are damn hard to find.

So, until I get them I've done a shoddy photoshop edit of a blue shoe for Sludge as a stand in.

I'm pretty happy with Snarl and Slag body shape. Slag is getting there and without changing the proportions and scale significantly Grimlock will have to do.

Oh, and they don't transform ;) (yet?)

Great War Veterans, older, and wiser.

A fully transformable Grimlock in his dino and robot mode. My first attempt at miniformers. I will be posting more soon :)

Grimlock and the other three surviving Dinobots in beast mode.

ToyWorld figure, Muddy. Based on Transformers Dinobot Sludge. I was taking this pic a 1 in the morning. Lol. Oh, toy life. Really, I just wanted to take another sunset pic for my birthday. Here's a review of the figure:

This is a big model (4410 parts), the maximum length is almost 1 m. For this reason the internal structure is made with technic parts to keep the body lightweight and strong. Also there are gears and mechanisms that allow a wide range of movements, from the head to the tail.

It was totally built using Lego Digital Designer.

FEATURES

- free articulations on mouth, tongue, arms and tail

- 2 flex joints for each leg articulation (ankles and knees)

- turntable-worm gear for hips rotation

- turntable-worm gear for head rotation

- 2 linear actuators for head movement (up and down)

- easy removable dorsal ribs (for holding the model)

- an intimidating appearance

Can you think of a better subject for this black frame Silver Shade film? I can't either.

More G1 goodness on my blog.
