52 weeks for dogs ... week 31 ... OMG - OMD ...
... We had pancakes for dinner last night ... Drift is só fond of those, he's sticking to the dinnertable like glue ... ánd ofcourse he just knóws after dinner there's a piece for him, he gets all restless when we clean the table ;) ... this time he had to wait for me to get the camera and he was moping about it haha ! but he nicely sat down when asked before he snatched it from my hand ;) ...

Brown bears improvise their "dining table" when they're catching and consuming their salmon fast and furious. Some of the younger ones, or when they're on their last salmon, they'll take it over to the bank for a private dinner party, but more often they'll just find a random boulder in the river and have at it. All the while they're tearing into their fresh catch, they're actively looking around for any other bears that might have thoughts of joining them, As soon as they're done, which is usually a minute at most, they're off for another catch. these bears during the summer's salmon run are trying to consume as much as possible to fatten up for the winter.
Today closes out the summer season technically. Love living in Colorado where I can actually watch autumn approaching and evolving. Anxious for autumn and then ultimately winter.

Many people celebrate Christmas in the morning of Dec 25. We start the celebration the night before, on Christmas Eve, and this is the day when the Santa comes in with his presents!!! Tradition calls for 12 dishes to be served that night. Count if there is 12 dishes… What an awesome time!!!

We celebrated Thanksgiving at friend's place in San Jose, California. Thanksgiving has different meanings and origins. For some it's about celebrating a successful harvest, for some about sharing food with the indigenous people around, for some it has a religious connection to Europe, and it can even be about war -- New England's Governor Bradford declared "the bloody victory, thanking God that the battle had been won", which I find oxymoronic.
I processed a realistic and a paintery HDR photos from a RAW exposure, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Thanksgiving is the time to connect with family, and to reflect upon what to be thankful for. What does it mean to you?
Thanksgiving has different meanings and origins. A part of a colourfully decorated dinner table hosted by very good friends. We had a wonderful time with lots of laughter and of course good food. Merry christmas everyone and all the best for 2011.

Tigger on the dinner table this afternoon. She wanted to make sure she was in the middle of things and not left out. The table is the center of our activities downstairs so she knows well where to park herself.

The osprey tolerates a wide variety of habitats, nesting in any
location near a body of water providing an adequate food supply.
The osprey's diet consists almost exclusively of fish. The osprey and owls are the only raptors whose outer toe is reversible, allowing them to grasp their prey with two toes in front and two behind. This is particularly helpful when they grab slippery fish. Ospreys have vision that is well adapted to detecting underwater objects from the air. Prey is first sighted when the osprey is 33–131 feet above the water, after which the bird hovers momentarily then plunges feet first into the water. Occasionally, the osprey may prey on rodents, rabbits, hares, amphibians, other birds and small reptiles. Fun to watch them hunt as they dive and hit the water at amazing speed.
