Wolf Creek is known for its trout lilies, Erythronium umbilicatum. It may very well have the densest population in the world. The forest is carpeted as far as the eye can see. Trout lilies are rare in this area, and just below the state line in Florida, they are endangered.

Sadly, this location is not safe from development. The owners are selling it, and although it's at a reduced price and the state has given a grant for half the price, the funds are still short. There's still a move to save it, but if another $50,000 isn't raised by April 1, 2009, this natural site may disappear, along with all the wonderful plant life. More info can be found at www.flwildflowers.com/wolfcreek/ .

UPDATE!!! Wolf Creek has been saved by donations! This land will now be preserved. I hope I can return and take more photos someday. :)

We don't like photos.

"sorry I'm a fuck-up" day.

Amaris Sienna is smiling with her dad in the NICU on 11/22/10. Check out that dimple - cute, huh? She has two of them. :)

A couple of weeks ago I was asked by some friends to get some photos taken for a new clothing line that they have created. We took lots of pictures of both the girls and some separate shots of the clothing on its own. It was fun and the kids were great to work with. You can visit their site for more pictures and to buy some if you are interested. Here is some more info from the site www.dimplesdesignstudio.etsy.com

We are a mother-daughter design duo committed to quality, original design. Our introductory line is hand-stamped, organic children's clothing. Each design is drawn and hand-carved into rubber material. We brush quality textile paint onto the stamp and then apply it to the shirt. Because of this process, no two are exactly alike. Slight color variations are to be expected. The shirts are all heat-set and soften with each wash.

This is Dimples, a female Beagle mix. She is sweet & friendly (and a little more interested in sniffing than Cindy, but not obsessive about it)

Last Sunday I volunteered at PAWS Atlanta. I took photos of some of the dogs and cats that need homes. I thought I'd also remind people you can find great pets at shelters and in rescue groups. And of course, help control the pet population, please spay and neuter your pets!!

showing my dimple

Someday you'll grow tired of me kissing that singular dimple of your right cheek. Thank goodness that someday isn't today.

A small disc of fine silver plays in the light as it dangles from a sparkly cable chain in sterling silver. The pendant was created using PMC (preciousl metal clay) and each and every dimple was hand-placed, adding a lovely texture and plenty of movement. The chain comes together in a handmade hook and eye closure, with a tiny faceted peridot rondelle on each side. This is a simple and versatile piece, great for casual wear or for those little black dress nights.

Is that a dimple in your piston or you happy to see me
