This my friend Betty who has a raised garden bed alongside mine. She doesn't always look like a fiend but most of the time she does.

There is a story that goes along with this photo. It starts, some years ago, with Betty's involvement in a theatrical production mounted by the local theatre group. At the time, the group was putting on a play about women’s lives during WW II when most of their menfolk were away overseas. In light of the topic it fell to Betty to locate a specific prop for the play. A dildo was needed for a very brief appearance in just one scene. Betty didn’t own a dildo of her own and she was not sure where to get one.

It so happened she mentioned her dilemma to her brother who said not only did he have a dildo she could use but he’d been responsible for making several thousand of them!

(I couldn't make this up if I tried) ... it turned out Betty's brother taught high school shop classes and he had had his students make wooden penises by the dozen. In the end, the willies were sent to Africa for use in the How To Use A Condom Correctly demonstration portion of AIDS awareness workshops.

That's Betty's tool on the left and my dibber on the right. I can assure you both are now used for planting spring bulbs and nothing else.
