Surprisingly, this photo wasn't staged. I actually have my Dutch clogs and Peruvian hat set up like that in the living room. It's not as weird as it seems. I did a Latino Heritage fashion show, and brought the hat from home. I also brought the clogs from home for Sinterklaas this past December. Sinterklaas is the Dutch Santa Clause, and you put your shoes on the hearth, and then in the morning Sinterklaas has put treats in your shoe. I kept them here because I guess it's a nice reminder of my background, and how I should be proud of my heritage.
