I love Marilyn, I think she was one of the most sensual women in the world. Marilyn Monroe's portrait made with thousands of flat circles (each circle was placed individually on a black background). It took me almost one week of intense work... Details HERE.

I really like Lady Gaga's personality and imago. She has a beautiful mouth and I found a deep expression of nostalgia and fear in the purity of her eyes.

Give Me Colors
A poem by Peter S. Quinn
Give me colors all to see
Always extra and some more
Shades of tomorrows to be
Another view of earth´s contour
Not empty handed to go on
Just the dreams a la mode
Because ways shall be gone
In their own of oldness load
Give colors like the sunshine
In the darkness of the deep
I will draw a desired line
For the hours those to keep
Where fate lies in its future
With all its opening new way
Meet the opportunities moocher
As he comes here to play
Give me colors to paint true
Where the walls are currently
Shadings there I shall all do
Let the walls its colors see
Touching stones with pencil bright
Of every day in newer shade
Sketch of freedom’s morning bright!
With the hands - free will has made

When I Follow My Heart
A poem by Peter S. Quinn
When I follow my heart
I will follow you
What has driven us apart
Shall become again true
Everything is so fresh
When the moments are new
Dreams there to caress
Carry them there through
What a lovely day to sing
Giving from its magic touch
When you are to me everything
And I love you so much
Every dream shall come true
That we have here inside
And let them come through
With our hope to ways guide
When I follow my beat
That is giving rhythm’s time
I'll walk Sweetness Street
In its blossoming prime
And every love song shall live
To again become love
And from its every beat give
Like the raindrops far above

This is another creation with colored circles. I wanted it to look a bit "wilder" than my previous circlist works. I digitally applied each circle on a black background (I made them appear wider, so it was a bit faster than usual) and I didn't really pay attention to symmetry or ultra-realistic details.

Leopard
A poem by Peter S. Quinn
I am the mighty Leopard
With my softness paw
A dream on its outward
Each birth and after draw
Shimmer of blue eyes
Steps that come and go
So much for nature’s disguise
That no one hardly know
My nature is surprise
Of every while taking
Strong inner mood ties
Every movement making
Softly going catching
Burly in enduring way
Thru moments watching
That comes here to play
I'm like the forest
Never seen but all real
Each move of its surest
Muscles like a steal
Good at hunter's game
Thru the ways going
Never staying the same
Always danger knowing

This is my circlist portrait of Elvis Presley. I've always admired him. I wanted to make something unusual and give him the aspect of a solid and invincible robot... but not a real "terminator" because he was especially a romantic man with one of the most beautiful voices ever...
Please enlarge to see how it's done. I've only used circles of different sizes and colors on a black background. The whole portrait took me several days of intense work. There is no trick, those circles aren't placed automatically, I've positioned each circle one by one. I'm now going to make a circlist portrait of Freddie Mercury...

Love Me
A poem by Peter S. Quinn
Love me tender
Love me now
Our I’ll return to sender
Your love somehow
Love me for ever
And don’t let me go
Don’t be too cleaver
For me to know
Every your way
Is loves to take
You are my day
For each my heartache
Every your love
Be good or ill
Like clouds here above
Drift or rain spill
Love is in the air
This singing spring
Beauty is all around here
In that these times bring
Bouquet’s beautiful rose
How dear you are now
Fragrance sweet and close
Is summer days endow
Love me tender
Love me still
Every day is a splendor
With you to fulfill

A Girl Dreaming
A poem by Katie Gabrielle
What thoughts race across
The sleepy lids of those
Who dream with eyes wide open
Never closed
Where Imagination and Reality Meet
Where colors look like fireflies
Across the evening skies
And flowers taste like candy
A little girl races across the night
Believing in what no one ever could
Wishing can make it so
Dreams are the wishes we wish
When we are awake
Little girl dreaming
And if you wish long enough
Your little girl dreams will come true

Emotionally Yours
You are emotionally me
Everything my heart’s looking for
Strings of pearls set out free
Everything more and more
Feelings to the inside out
Searching for every sensation
What every love is about
In its thoughts and concentration
Together we might see the sunrise
If tomorrow shall come in
Knowing our lows and highs
Everything our arms can win
Radiance of our eyes too
Hidden from the ordinary
You are me and I am you
That’s how this love’s always free
Nothing more beautiful than this
Sensed inside to give a flame
Beauty lies inside its kiss
There is no name for a no-name
To be in love is always new
For each turning comings clear
Everything is never through
Always you - so close and near
(Thank you Peter for writing this poem, it's really beautiful, she will love it too!)

This portrait took me some 9 days of intense work (please also see the making and the full version). It is exclusively made with "flat circles" on a black background. I first made a photomontage using several references, then a digital painting and I finally applied my "digital circlist" technique (I placed each circle one by one, there is no automatic process). Every circle has a different color, a different tone and a different size. It's a time consuming method). I wanted this image to reflect Eminem's personality. He may be a controversial and provocative singer, I think he's an extremely clever and interesting person, he always comes up with some completely amazing stuff, with new, powerful and unexpected lyrics and melodies. He is a poet of modern times.

I placed each grey circle individually on a black background. Several days of work (Making, detail and other portraits below). I'm now working on my next portrait: Marilyn Monroe.
Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara) was a British musician, best known as the lead vocalist and a songwriter of the rock band Queen. As a performer, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful vocals over a four-octave range. As a songwriter, Mercury composed many hits for Queen, including "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Killer Queen", "Somebody to Love", "Don't Stop Me Now", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "We Are the Champions". In addition to his work with Queen, he led a solo career, penning hits such as "Barcelona", "I Was Born to Love You" and "Living on My Own". Mercury also occasionally served as a producer and guest musician (piano or vocals) for other artists.

All Is Here To Give
(In memory of Freddie Mercury)
A poem by Peter S. Quinn
The day is never the same
Thru each morning and going
Love today in its new flame
Inside your heart and flowing
Let this day flow
Thru its moment’s go
All is here to give
Be and thru time live
Moments lost in space
In their many ways
Some may return again
Others gone with the rain
Our life is like the flowers
In their way and the sun
Few moments in day’s hours
Before their times are done
In the secrets of love’s go
In all its tomorrow’s come
Some we never do know
Where its passion is from
