- The export model was still named after its previous model: Opel Super 6. Military names sounded not good for neighbour countries.
- The Kapitän had a new monocoque chassis and, therefore, was not suitable as a Wehrmacht Kübel-version. So production stopped in 1940.
- Only for a special occasion, three Kapitäns were built in 1943.
- It had a three speed manual Opel gearbox, a fuel consumption of 13,4 L/100km and a fuel capacity of 50+5 litres.
- After WWII, from October 1948 until April 1950 12,936 copies were built.

'Oil painting' version of the scene, just off a back road in NY State. Actually, no painting program was used here - I just played with various features of Arcsoft Photo Studio. I felt very pleased with the results.

- Designed by John Najjar Ferzely, Phil Clark and Joe Oros and named after the World War II P-51 Mustang fighter plane.
- 1966 was the first year of nationally-mandated safety standards, so seat belts became mandatory.
- All Mustangs now included front bucket seats, sport-type steering wheel, five dial instrument cluster, heater and defroster, pleated vinyl upholstery and interior trim, full wheel covers and three-speed manual transmission.
- 244,248 Convertibles sold between 1964 and 1968 (first generation) and 1,838578 "coupes" sold in the same period, so ratio is about 1:8.
