Merry & Bright card using Hero Arts Holiday Houses digital kit. Coloring with Promarker. heartforhandmade.wordpress.com/2014/09/07/merry-bright/

Another great video tutorial I used from youtu.be/-L9VkVQqjAw.

Pattern papers, printed sheets, tags and envelopes, folders, etc. are just a few items packed inside this little book. I loved the zip lock bag that was used in the video that I added in the book so that I can add pens, tapes, clips, etc. small items that can be used to decorate the book. Brilliant idea and best of all...handmade so you can make it like YOU want it!

I had an idea I wanted to incorporate when making the cover. For the front/back and spine, I used Kraft-tex. OMG...I love this paper fabric. Not only is it washable but durable and will not tear. This book will probably get lots of use so I want it to be sturdy.

I love the black/natural look so instead of trying to come up with printed paper to use, I went with this instead. LOVE IT! Plus she can decorate the cover too.

I cut a sheet to size, imported the image using JLNISSON's twinkle toe digi stamp file from www.etsy.com/listing/261353492/twinkle-toes-digital-stamp... using my silhouette and sent to printer. After printing, I used the silhouette sketch pen to add the name. The pen has a little shimmer affect to it that you can't really see from the pic...but it's super darling.

I repeated the same for the back cover using a different image called springtime friends (same designer).

This little girl is going to love coloring her book which is the idea I was going for. Crayons, gel pens, paint, chalk, etc. can be used to decorate the cover. How fun will that be?

I think I'm in love with using the kraft-tex. I'll have to make a cover in the stone and brown just to see how it turns out. Anyway, I have a little bit more to go before I'm done. I want to leave most of the decorating to the little girl so my goal is to keep this simple but cute.

I love those flutterbies from Heroarts digistamp, use together with digistamp HA friendship definition and also my new cling CG105 Silhoutte flower.

another supplies :

- HA digistamp Winged butterflies

- Ink:Versamagic pink grapefruit, Versacolor atlantic, Ranger distress ink worn lipstick, tattered rose, broken china

- copics, gem, fiskar border punch

Cards using digi kit set at a2z Scrapbooking, digi kit: Artistic Circles by Hero Arts. 15% discount code at my blog heartforhandmade.wordpress.com/2014/08/19/3-cards-from-1-...

I had lots of fun designing and creating this card for a very special couple (and their dogs). The dogs were stamped, die cut and colored with Copic markers. The "wood floor" was stamped on kraft cardstock and then I added some distress ink to warm up the color a bit. The hats were printed, colored and fussy cut. TFL!
