Borderless

Place and Indigenous Faces

June 19-25, 2008

Ayala Malls, Glorietta 3, Makati City

Filipinos are among the most talented in the world. Browse any online

photography galleries and forums, and chances are, Filipinos will be

one of the most active posters there.

The Internet has made it easier for people to connect, and has made it

possible for those whose passion is photography to share their

knowledge of the craft from miles away.

For these people, the world has become almost without borders, and

while many of them have yet to see each other,

some have become good friends.

Twenty-two Filipino photographers from five countries have come

together to bring you a photo exhibit called

"Borderless: Places and

Indigenous Faces."

Country Organizers:

Philippines: Aly Reyes

USA: Donna Samonte

UAE/ KSA: Jeff Vergara

Organizer: Cez Jarlyn Young

Major Sponsor: Digiprint

Grand Opening: 19th of June 2008

Glorietta 3 (in front of Zara)

6:30 in the evening

Everyday, new inventions and gadgets are revealed to the world. It never stops. This process continues and newer technology replaces the older ones. Welcome to the modern world!

This is actually an accidental multiple exposure! ♥

I was trying to make a multiple exposure photo of mechanisms and circuit boards on one frame. Then, a sunset between powerlines attracted me, but I forgot to advance the film which resulted in an unintended photo!

I used mutliple exposure filters as an aid for the multiple exposure masking technique

- Nikon FM10

- 35-70mm AI-S

- Kodak Ultima 100 Professional

- f/3.5 for each expsoure

- About 5 to 6 or more exposures on the same frame

- Developed and scanned by digiprint

Pretty bluish-green tones, I think :) I love walking around and seeing random things and they come out like a not-so-normal shot. :)

P.S. I'm going to digiprint later (or tomorrow haha)! Yay! Accumulated 5 rolls of colorsplash and Minolta over the last few weeks. Not really shooting much becaaause I need to post so much more. Haha. I've been procrastinating. BOOO. I have a lot of accounting to finish, and readings for Marketing1 aaaand I'm a little bit bummed because I didn't get to watch Cinemalaya this year :( But it's okay! I'll eat ice cream later :D (haha connection?) :p
