My cows have pawed holes in the pasture.
I fill them in and they just dig them out again.
In this photo my bull is doing the pawing, but the cow beside is the one that does most of the digging.

Looks like an archaeological dig in progress. This are probably due to be covered over by student flats to match those already in place across the street.
Expansion Update: Concrete is gone. You can see the challenges in digging when your located on the edge of a "river." i.e. Rocks!
Maggs digs in to position as the pitcher readies to toss a pitch. Magglio had a good night out in right field, but did miss a chance to make a nice sliding catch on a ball hit to the right center gap. Note the rare grass stains on his pants.

Abi's afternoon project... a little digging by the front porch. She gets this from me. I can't tell you how many mudpies I made in my childhood.

Digging for Clams
23 June 2014 -- 174/365
Providence, Rhode Island
It was a beautiful day today, so I decided to visit India Point Park at lunch for today's photo. There were several groups of people on the rocky shore taking advantage of the low tide and digging for clams. Now, clams are extremely popular in the state, and there's nothing better than a fresh little neck on the half-shell, but knowing the history of this area there's not a chance I'd ever eat shellfish from this spot! For almost a century, this area was a metal scrapyard. Your guess is as good as mine as to how high the concentration of heavy metal toxins you may find in the sand along that shoreline. With 400 miles of coastline, there are far better places in the state from which to harvest shellfish.
Post processing started with a neutral greyscale filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
So some of you may have heard that the next "big thing" for Yellow Canoe is block printed pillows, place mats, table runners and perhaps even curtains.
These are some of the fabrics I'm looking at right now.
Of course, I can't purchase them all so I'm looking for your help- are there any certain colors shown that appeal to you more than others?
I am definitely digging the "cappuccino" color and the "majolica" blue. I'm planning on printing in yellow on the cappuccino and white on the majolica blue.
Any other suggestions?
