Digging for clams on Hartstene Island in the south Puget Sound. You scrape the rocks and oysters away and then dig through the sand to find the clams. You can easily fill a bucket like the one at my foot in about 20 minutes.

Taking building material. This shows the potter wasp extracting what appears to be a grain, giving it a polish and then making off with it. The really interseting thing was that this spot was being visited by a range of wasps from this large one to very small ones, all digging material out. But why here, there are plenty more sited that look the same to me in the forest.

Archaeology underway at Shakespeare's last home in Stratford-upon-Avon.

I have been digging thru my Mercury II cameras to find some for gifts for fellow enthusiasts and whittled it down to these 5. In the process I learned that if you want to attract attention to yourself and make friends..carry a bag with about ten really weird looking cameras. One little girl whose parents I was showing the camera to wanted to see the picture. When I said this type of camera didn't show you the picture right away she whispered to her mother that she thought they should go now because he..(meaning me) might not be "all there". After another person watched me pull ten of the same camera model out of my bag and shook his head slightly..I think she might have something.
