Some of the women (and men) involved in the Diggers did dance performances at the Straight Theatre on Haight Street. This page shows practice or rehearsal.

That's Judy Goldhaft in the middle.

She and Peter Berg were partners.

I walked from West Kilbride to Largs yesterday - largely in pouring rain. They're digging a lot of big holes in the lane to Hunterston Castle and I thought the reflection of the sky on the shiny ram of this damp digger looked interesting.

Found on a beach in France, strange digger feet, and the black exoskeleton shines like chrome !

Removing sand. These wasps are very small.

Digger is a very handsome Rocky Mountain gelding I visited on the weekend. I've never seen this colour in a horse, must be a Rocky thing...

p.s. He's for sale ;o)

Here he is getting up from having a good roll ;o)

In the Arènes de Lutèce, a Roman theater in Paris' 5th arr., Dominique Boivin danced with a rented Loxam digger. It was magic.

Diggers lined up on borth beach over Christmas. These are all Nortons diggers that are being used to build Borths sea defence.

Sand digger wasp (Ammophila sabulosa) with paralysed caterpillar prey. Wisley Common, Surrey, UK.

The wasp's legs were just about long enough to straddle this one although it was making slow progress.

Laser Eyes Watching You!

At about thirteen years, nine months, he was still quite alert. Even today, more than a year later as I write this, he is still somewhat hyperactive, sometimes. Boisterous and noisy, for certain. It's a cattledog thing.

Some shots from a couple of lunchtime photowalks around Portsmouth.

Thanks, Rob.

An edit of the digger photo.

This is smoother, brighter, better aligned, and i'm much happier with it.

Cute apron for toddlers! Let 'em play in the dirt - this apron can help keep sand and dirt off their clothes. Cute digger tractors on a rust-brown background. Reversible and easily washable. Elastic in the neck strap and a Velcro(tm) closure mean kiddos can put it on "all by myself"!

Only shots I managed of this digger wasp briefly on a raspberry leaf. Crossocerus sp.

The two railway arches were demolished by three orange diggers, led by the biggest, which worked from the northern end of the bridge. The southern arches over Middlebrook and the riverside footpath were left untouched.

The process revealed the different building materials used. The more southerly railway arch was built of stone when the line was built c1840. The more northerly arch was added when the tracks were quadrupled later in the 19th Century. It was built in brick, faced with stone.

Lorries worked in a continuous chain to remove spoil, backing in at the north end of the bridge and driving offsite as soon as fully loaded.

The team work together throughout the job.

Taken from the public footpath between the railway tracks and Middlebrook.

Puppy Button Digging up the beach

Another digger today, it has been so dull and wet I looked for something interesting and seeing this digger cheered me up so though I would colour pop it to show the digger in all it's yellow glory!

Taken with my new cameraphone :)

A co-worker of Keith's picked up some kittens that he'd seen thrown from a car window as a vehicle traveled down the road in upstate NY. Digger was one of the survivors and we adopted him. He is a little (maybe a lot?) brain damaged in that he doesn't seem to retract his claws well and....he humps me. I am t3h sexeh!
