I was outside the Photography Section when these jousters came past heading for a display in front of the Grandstand. We were taking all the show photos down at the time. I know this photo is compositionally wrong, but yet I like it because of the beautiful sunset light play on Ilparpa Ranges in the background. The show was virtually over on this side of the grounds, but on the other the rides and sideshows were going strong (you wouldn't believe it looking at this quiet scene). Much later there were fireworks. Anyway, this photo would just be sitting on my computer and doing nothing, so I thought I would put it up here as a totally different view of AS Show, probably not seen by many but one I really liked ... tee hee! I only got the one shot at it before the lightplay was gone. The surrounds of the showground arena on this side are very shady with lovely big trees, hence the deep shadows.
This is the tree from the other pictures, but looking at it as I walked down the hill, with Great Harwood town in the background.
