This room is part of the Old Royal Palace at Prague Castle and is known as the Diet Hall. It was built in the late Gothic style and used for meetings of the Bohemian Estates. The hall is notable for its impressive ribbed vaulting and the royal throne placed beneath a canopy decorated with the emblem of Bohemia. Here, important political and judicial sessions were held, along with ceremonial events.

Someone has dropped a chunk of watermelon on my nature strip. I took it to the garden to watch, which birds would fancy it. At lunchtime it provided a welcome variety in the diet of two visiting Pied Currawongs.

After charging in the creek after salmon and missing on several swats, this lad decided to take a moment and reevaluate his fishing style…while also contemplating switching over to eating old fat Italian guys!

Usually shy and curious, pine martens are also solitary and territorial. The pine marten ranges in forests and woodlands across Alaska, Canada and the northern United States.
Neither sex will allow another marten of the same sex in their home territory, though males will tolerate the presence of multiple females.
(I can live with that ;) LOL.)
Pine martens are agile climbers and spend much of their time in trees, where they prey on squirrels and chipmunks. Their diet also includes mice, hares, shrews, birds, bird eggs, amphibians, reptiles, insects, fish, crayfish, nuts, fruit and carrion.
The diet where anything you can get from a glass is okay, so fill up another glass of M&Ms for the road.

The common yellowthroat (Geothlypis trichas) is a small, New World warbler found across North America. Recognizable by its bright yellow throat and black facial mask, it inhabits marshes, wetlands, and brushy fields. Its diet consists mainly of insects. The male sings a distinctive "wichity-wichity-wichity" song.
Seeing myself in the mirror I thought,
A diet wouldn't do me any harm,
Losing a few kilos should be helpful,
Overweight could cause some alarm.
First I tried a weight watcher's diet,
Consisting of points I must count,
Many foods allowed, even chocolate,
Though trying, I over-did the amount.
Another said drink lots of water,
Which helps to flush toxins away,
I soon gave up doing that diet,
For I sat on the loo half the day!
Then I read about eating low carb,
High protein, no bread, allowed cream,
Well I liked the sound of this one,
The food list to me was a dream.
But after a few weeks on low carb,
Things didn't work out the right way,
Was the opposite of the water diet,
For it clogged up the works every day.
Maybe a high carb one would be better,
Though no sugar or sweets like before,
Bread and cream were back on the menu,
But my sweet tooth took over once more.
I'm finished with all fad diets,
Found a balanced one holds the key,
For a bar of chocolate in both hands,
Is a well balanced diet for me!

Aquesta espècie pertany a la família Iridaceae (iris). Pot formar grans grups si no se'l pertorba durant anys. Aquesta espècie és comuna a l'horticultura a Sud-àfrica, on es fa servir sovint en jardins públics, en l'embelliment de locals comercials i en carreteres.
Les flors són grogues amb tres taques morades fosques, cadascuna envoltada per un contorn ataronjat, i són seguides per una càpsula que pot doblegar les tiges de les flors fins a terra. Les llavors madures (de color marró fosc) es dispersen quan la càpsula s'asseca i es divideix.
