.......In more ways than one.
Thought I'd leave every one with a laugh and a smile as I depart for a week to explore more of Kansas....Leaving you with a ghost of one of my many focusing errors.
A favorite model car in my collection,
Jada Toys Inc
1/64 Scale 1951 Ford Mercury (their title)
I've already uploaded a boxed picture of this car on my other account, here now with a hint of sun on the road.
My favourite road for taking pictures has been closed for normal traffic for a few weeks, so I could take my pictures in the middle of the road without fearing for my life!

Hooray. The awful looking Pfizer/Viagra schemes of 2001-2005 gave way to this great looking scheme for 2006, Mark's last with Roush Racing.
I made a tribute to Michael Paul Smith making a forced perspective of the forced perspective.....I never published the making of.........The final picture was posted at the group "Elgin Park". As I cannot photograph now, I am recycling old pictures! hahahaha...

A little weathering, mirrors, and some aerodynamics helped make this tractor trailer look good for a diorama, or the model railroad.

Wednesday night cruising in Paprihaven at the Market Street Chevron.
A feature of the holiday season, which never fails to draw an interesting assortment of onlookers, is the Jingle Rally! All the bikers come out and roar down Market.
When they reach the end, they present a check for food, clothing and toys to the Paprihaven Benevolence Society. Lots of children will be happier this Christmas!
As usual, the Turtles and the Rangers are competing for who leads the pack! *

Matchbox King Size K-3 - Massey Ferguson Tractor and Farm Trailer - 1970
It still has some mud on it from its last time out. The trailer hitch was missing but it was fairly easy to make a reasonable facsimile from a wire paper clip.
Re-issues of Corgi Toys 437 Cadillac Superior ambulance, made in China. The (later) white and blue one was the 17th model of the subscription series.
The earlier red and cream version was not part of that series, only being available mail order from the Corgi shop.
They share the later electrics with an on-off switch (originally designed for use with a flashing bulb which Corgi say is no longer made), rather than the early version's mechanical on-off as the car was pushed along. As a result both these have a non-flashing light.
I built the Cadillac and the Impala both are 1:25 scale plastic kits, manufactured by Monogram Models. They're both from 1959.
The 1933 Cadillac is 1:32 scale - and the Porsche is 1:24 scale, both are die cast.
It's 1959; Robby, Altaira and Commander Adams have been back on Earth for 3 years now. One of Robby's many mundane tasks is to chauffeur everyone around in the family car. Even though the '51 LeSabre still has a certain show car quality to it, the truth is it's beginning to show it's age and frequently breaks down.
Robby is starting to develop the emotion of frustration. Dr. Morbius would have been fascinated by this.
