The administrative office in Erlangen is a gem for lovers of modern architecture, and so I took an image that is shaped like a diamond 😊
Well once again, working on location has presented me with challenges WRT subject matter and lighting. Marybeth had to come to my rescue with just about the only stone worth photographing at my son's house other than the run of the mill wall and landscaping rock/stones one would find in New Mexico. I did consider some nice river stone that almost made a solo shot. The diamond ring wound up sitting on one. As for size, ha, no worries there, it just made it under the three inches. Marybeth has really big fingers. lol.
Shot with: VOIGTLANDER, 125mm f/2.5 SL, MACRO APO-LANTHAR, Single Layer shot at f/4. Sun used for light source.
One of the most photographed places in Iceland and as such I was wondering if I really should upload this picture. I do however like the cold and deserted feeling in this picture and therefore, hey.....another one! I hope you do not mind.
Merci pour vos commentaires sympathiques, et votre fidélité.
A très bientôt dans vos univers!

Jökulsárlón sits south of Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier. Vatnajökull which, with its surrounding area, form Iceland's largest national park, and the second largest in Europe.
Huge blocks of ice calve from the glacier and those icebergs float into a lagoon ("Glacier Lagoon"). From there they keep floating towards the Atlantic ocean, where some of them get washed ashore and sparkle on the black beach like diamonds, after having been polished by the waves. Thus, the beach designation: Diamond Beach.
This photo was taken at sunrise, on a glorious day, with beautiful weather (finally, as the two previous days had been terrible, a total loss...). When I've arrived to the beach a couple of hours before sunrise, seals were easily seen in the water, looking for their morning's meal... And when the sun rose in the sky, well, the least we can say is that it was monumental! This place is utterly beautiful and will remain always in my memories as being the most extraordinary spot I've been in that marvellous trip to Iceland.

I saw the rising moon lighting-up the anvil canopy of a distant thunderstorm, and waited until the moon broke free. It created a nice effect.
The Diamond Firetail Finch is a highly social bird and enjoys living in pairs or small groups. They are known for their cheerful chirping and are active and playful birds that love to explore their environment. They are also intelligent birds and when kept as pets can be trained to perform simple tricks.
Ice "diamonds" glistening on the black beach...
The Diamond beach is by Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon in southeast Iceland.
The lagoon belongs to the Vatnajökull glacier national park. The glacier's name is Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, and huge blocks of ice (more than 1000-year-old) are continually breaking from it and large chunks of iceberg float in the lagoon.

Here's the last of my bird photos from my trip to the Bloedel Conservatory in January. I'm so impressed by the beauty in nature as seen in the different colors, textures and patterns in this bird. I wish I would have captured it with just a bit more depth of field, but I'm happy enough with it to make it one of my "keepers" for the trip.
"Diamond beach" This beach is beside Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon in Iceland, large chunks of ice float out from the lagoon and get washed up onto the black sand beach.

These ones will last forever in my memory, for sure! This is another one of the Diamond Beach’s sunrise shots that I’ve taken at this unforgettable spot.
The blueish tones of the icebergs indicate their origin – a glaciar. Blue ice occurs when snow falls on a glacier, is compressed, and becomes part of the glacier. With the glacier's high pressure, air bubbles are squeezed out and ice crystals enlarge, making the ice appear blue. Darker blue indicates “older” ice, which was subject to higher compression.
Here, huge blocks of ice calved from the glacier and floated into a lagoon ("Glacier Lagoon"). From there the icebergs kept floating towards the Atlantic ocean, where some of them got washed ashore and sparkle on the black beach like diamonds, after having been polished by the waves. Thus, the beach designation: Diamond Beach.

This View is from the top of Diamond Head which is a volcanic tuff cone on the Hawaiian island of Oʻahu.
At the Diamond Beach, the icebergs which fill the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon wash up on shore, creating a stark contrast with the volcanic black sand. This beautiful display makes it a favourite location for photographers and nature-lovers.

Pretty little thing did you feel something
Did you always want me to be something
To mend a broken a heart
From a Devil of shallow nonsense
Turned your world upside down
Whatever said that it'd mean something
Whatever said that it'd mean nothing
And did I look the part
When it's all said and done
When it's all said and done
I'm no good next to Diamonds
When I'm too close they start to fade
Are you angry with me now
Are you angry cause I'm to blame
I'm no good next to Diamonds
When their too close I start to fade
Are you angry with me now
Are you angry cause I'm to blame
Never wanna hide the truth from you
Just hang my head what I put you through
I wasn't good enough
When what's done is done love
When it's all said and done
But I'm
No good next to Diamonds
When I'm too close they start to fade
Are you angry with me now
Are you angry cause I'm to blame
Cause I fall away
Further than I ever was
Further than I ever was
Further than I ever was
Further than I ever was
Further than I ever was
