Barn swallow with a dirty beak seating on a diagonal cattail at the Heinz Wildlife Refuge in Philadelphia
Two photos of a newly planted, newly blooming, plum tree in Cullinan Park, Sugar Land, Texas. One conventional, one not. I have some uncertainty about which of these is the most interesting.
Another snapshot from somewhere in the hills of Moravian Tuscany.
If you hike around here or explore the area by car, you will find motifs like this everywhere.
With the latter, the biggest challenge is always finding a place where you can safely stop and park your car. The roads here are quite narrow and winding for long stretches (i.e. confusing). I drove past some interesting motifs because I didn't manage to do so and I didn't have the time (sometimes I didn't feel like it) to walk back a kilometer or more.

Sometimes when you have a subject in mind you either think a lot or you just venture out to photograph the first thing you find. That happened to me today, because I was folding the bedding and these white folds gave me the idea. I used a ring light for this photo.
The path to the lookout overlooking the top of Skógafoss falls on a winter day, South Iceland. Re rapidly changing weather, this shot was taken 7 minutes before yesterday's shot of the falls in a snow storm.
